so i have irregular periods and my doctor decided to put me on "the pill", but there is one thing i dont understand about taking them. she told me to start taking them the day she prescribed them being that she didnt know when my next period would be. so here is the question: Since i dont know when my next period is...how do i go about taking the inactive pills? if i come on my period during the second week of taking "the pill", do i skip to the inactive ones or not?

im on yasmin and have been for a few years now, i have carried it on without a 7 day break and have been having a very light bleed almost like a pink discharge everydsay for two weeks now, sometimes with pain but not often, what could this be?

When taking birth control pills. If my period hasn't come yet. Do I get a new pack and continue to take the white ones? When am I suppose to use the pink ones? Must I wait until my period starts before I start on the pink ones? I take them to regulate my period not for birth control.

hi, well the problem is, my right nipple is purple.... im not sure why?! the left one gets like that every now and then but my right one is constantly purple wether its cold or hot! i noticed that my areol are bigger too. is there something wrong?

I think I have a UTI. I had one about 6 mos ago and it seems similar. I will go to the minor emergency place tomorrow morning but I can't sleep through the pain. I took some advil but no help. I also have A LOT of blood, I did not have any with the last one but I can't remember with ones before that. Should I be concerned that there is blood or is this normal? Any tips on what to do to get to sleep would be great! I thought about taking nyquil or tylonol pm but I'll sleep too long with those (especially if I take it this late) and I want to go ASAP in the morning.

She told me that she's been skipping her period a lot.. like she stopped for over a year then had it for a month, then skipped for 5 months then had it.. then skipped some more.. and she got it last month, but it hasn't started this month...
I'm always saying its normal.. but then she says that she's grown a lot of hair on her chest and stomach...and she showed me the hair on her stomach.. and it was gross... it was like a man.. all over her stomach, every spot was covered
So I'm like thinking.. what in the world... her parents say the hair thing is normal...and they asked the doctor about her period but they said its just irregular.. so she just wants to know whats going on with her.
Does anyone know what's wrong with her or has the same issue as her?

i have been on the depo provera shot for 6 years. i have been trying so hard to lose weight and im not having any luck. im not saying this is the reason im not losing weight. but will this birthcontrol cause you to gain weight you cant lose? if i decide to try a different method, will the weight come off that i gained when i first started?

First I would like to say that it is not an STD, I'm 100% a virgin.

Um....I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to going to a doctor...so I figure it might be best to go here to get some people to tell me to go to the doctor or I will die....so I will get scared enough to tell somebody to take me to the doctor....

So....basically all of this started 1 week ago and has been getting a bit worse slowly.So can you help? And um....how dangerous is it to not get treatment? And what are your guesses of what it might be? I'm mainly posting this question because I know I need to see a doctor or get some kind of medication, but I need to know that I'm out of options before I panic....and I'd kind of like to know all of the facts about what it might be first. I'm guessing something like a urinary tract infection or a yeast infection....hopefully?

Hi guys-

I posted on here a couple days ago.. I had a miscarriage a month ago at 7 weeks. The week and a half before it I was in and out of the hospital because of complications so the last 6 weeks have been very hectic and it seems more like years.. for some reason the last week I have been getting just very depressed, more than I did the first few weeks. Each day it seems to get worse.. I have been trying to help others on this board because it's the only time I generally an ounce of 'okay'. Sometimes though, while reading news of someones good news I get that lump in throat want to cry feeling :( (But I am still happy for all of you regardless!)
Sorry to babble- my question was.. because I can't afford therapy, I was wondering if anyone had any good online support groups or websites I could look at or share my story.. etc etc.. I'd really appreciate it.

my 13 year old sister has been havng periods for a few months. she was raped a week or two ago. should i take her to get tested. if u wonder where mom and dad are. mom is a druggie and doesnt care about anything except her boyfriend. and dad scares my sister. so she leaves with me and my best friend.
