Ladies, I am unsure where to start. I am wanting to know what I should do to get started finding out just how to get a reduction. I am a 44G and have no insurance right now, but insurance in the past stated in forms that it would not be covered and I am wanting to know what to expect. Thanks in advance

It will probably not be covered, UNLESS you can get a doctore to state that your breast size is causing you other problems, like back pains, spinal issues, etc.

Otherwise, expect to have to pay at least half of the cost of the surgery in advance.

If you had insurance you could get it covered, as mine covered it 100%. It was $8,000 in Northern Virginia.

I had mine done Feb 2006, 38J to 38C, and do not regret it one bit. I was in surgery for about 2 hours and had no pain when I woke in the recovery room. I was off work for two weeks (more if it is a physically active job) and was back to full strength at about a month. My incisions closed at about three months.

I have a long "surgery story" if you want to send me your email address. I have a ton more information about my before and after surgery experiences.

I would get it done again if I had to, I'm very pleased with my reduced breasts.

Also, check out http://www.breasthealthonline.com it is an excellent source of information and helped me out a ton before and after surgery.

It may not be "covered" by your insurance, but don't let that stop you. Your doctor should apply for a prior authorization from the insurance company. (Of course, you would have to have some type of insurance coverage first.)

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

It's too bad you don't have insurance. Mine paid 100% when I had it done. It has to be deemed medically necessary for ins. to pay for it though. I'm not sure what you want info on.....
Do you want to know what the expense is?
Do you want to know about the procedure itself?
e-mail me and I will help with whatever info I can.
