Women's Health - September 2007

My last menstrual period was July 20, 2007. Meaning, it was already 2 months since my last period. Since last week, I get dizzy and sleepy all the time. I bought a pregnancy test kit last September 25 and it turned out to be negative. Then the following day (September 26), there were small light red spots in my underwear but its not a menstruation because the bleeding didn't continue. I'm broke now so I can't go to a doctor to have a check-up. What can this be? Please help!!! An idea will be greatly appreciated.

let's say that my mother is 55, she is overweight. Her overall condition is good. The only problem is that once in a while, usually after diner she faints. Her blood pressure suddenly goes down and she vomits. She becomes all sweat and soemtimes she faints.
She did many exams but they didn't find anything.
Last time it happened 2 years ago and again yesterday.
The only common factor is that it happens after she ate and usually for diner. It's really scary, it seems she is going to die.
After it has gone (like 10/15 mins) everything seems normal again.
We are very worried and besides having consulted many doctors we don't know what to do. Do you have or did u hear about a similar case?

I mist say also that sometimes this happens when she starts a diet. The last time she started a diet for a week, but I must say that she just decrease a bit pasta and she ate a full meal.
We are worried.

My breasts are too big when compared with my body size. And the size of my breasts are increasing without ceasing. What could be the reason for this? Do I have to change my dietery? any other treatment available? pls help

I've wanted to become an obstetrician for a few years now (I've just started my first year at USC) but after researching a little, I've found that it might just be too much to handle. I really love this specialty though..is there any other profession in the medical field I could look into that's related to obstetrics, besides the OB doctor?

I think I am crazy a few days ago i used some veet in my private area where the hair was and it removed it and there was no itching or burning and I was fine. But then tonight I started seeng stubble grow back so i did it again. Now I see all these red bumps on my vagina and it burns. Is this serious?

ok i'm 16 i weigh 171 and i need to lose alot of weight i want to get down to at least 130 because i haven't been that weight since i don't know how but its so hard for me to stay on a diet because my mom always makes food that is pretty fattening and i've tried do exercises too but i can't stay on top of it but now this time i want to change and do both before my senior year cause i want to look good...so what should i do to lose weight fast and/or easy way to lose weight before a certain time

I'm 13, and I'm about 5'0. I've had my period for around 2 years, and I haven't grown any taller. I remember before I got my period, I was shooting up, but now, I haven't grown in months.
Will I stay this height forever??? I really don't want to be 5'0 for the rest of my life! Is there anything I can do to grow taller??

All of a sudden I am experiencing bad vaginal odor! I went to get checked with a gyn, got checked for STDS n hiv eveything came out negative then after a few weeks I got a bad odor. When I have sex it gets worse!! Its embarressing because it smells terrible while having sex. I get discharge which smells horrible! What can it be??

Any ideas as to what that could be? It's under my left arm, and it's smaller than pea sized. I just noticed it today.

Hi there people,

I have only had my period for about two years now... As you can see I am only fourteen years old. I've been noticing that during my period I get huge blood clots, and I mean huge!! Is it normal for someone my age? Because I've been searching for answers for women but they were usually answers for older women... but I am only 14 so I am just checking up here to make sure I am okay.
This has kind of been freaking me out for a while now, because I usually have big clots every month. Whenever I am sitting down for some time, then when I get up, the blood clots just come out like crazy... Many people have told me it's normal for my age, considering my cycle isn't stable yet... but I just want to make sure this is healthy.
Just to let you guys know that I always have heavy flows, usually more than 8 days. I never really get cramps when getting these clots. Please help? I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you.

ive tried everything!! :using a miror, had my friend do it for me (ya it sounds gross i know), i think im relaxing pretty well. I hear that alot, I tried using the smallest tampons i found at the store, tried laying, sitting, standing, squating, tried over and over and over again. It wont go in no matter what i do!
please help!! is there something wrong with me!!??

My girlfriend has currently been dealing with cervical cancer, she got the surgeries and it is all cleared up yet her sex drive is low. We are both younger early 20s. I was wondering if anyone out there experienced the same thing and if it will come back for her eventually or if I have to take it for what it is?

I had tried hormonal birth control before, and had adverse side effects. i.e. numbness of limbs, extreme dizziness, depression, leg pain, etc...And I was wondering, if I ever needed, if using Plan B would be safe for me.

I do plan on getting a copper IUD - only, I'm without that kind of health coverage at the moment (just so you know I'm not going to use Plan B as a continuous method of birth control)- and sometimes, you know..mistake are made.
We are only human.

i recently heard of iridology. got a pic of my eyes and they told me what some things were in my body. they gave me some all natural pills to take morning and night and they told me to change my diet. i have been taking the pills and they do seem to help. BUT i've been wondering if the Iridology is actaully for real or just something some guy made up. i work @ a vet clinic and i told the docs that this is what im doing. the next day one of the docs gave me a paper that said iridology is a quack. it was from a .org website not a .com. so do you know if Iridology actaully works?

I was on birth control and had a period every month, but I had the symptoms of PMDD so bad I decided to change to Seasonal. I am at the pack of my birth control were I would be having a period, if I was on my old birth control. This is my first time to skip my period using Seasonal. I am still having the feelings of PMDD even though I am not going to have a period. Is this normal? What is causing this?

I went to the bathroom and when I wiped my vagina a little white ball about the size of a grain of rice rolled out onto the toilet paper. Also lately I've been smelling an odor from that area and in my underwear I've been seeing liquidy white discharge. Keep in mine I'm a virgin and I'm 14 years old.

I tend to have to pee constantly, mainly because I am drinking coffee or soda all the time. However if I am going to have sex, I usually will only have a glass of soda a couple hours before. The odd thing is that I go to the bathroom alot before sex and even have to go a couple times during sex (my lover is very long lasting so sex usually last over an hour). The odd thing is that the other day right after sex, I had to pee again and my boyfriend was in the shower. I had to pee in a plastic cup (I had to option as I was embarrassed to say I had to go the bathroom AGAIN. When I was done, I had filled up an entire 8 oz cup with clear water like urine. How did I pee so much when I didn't even drink that much? It was late morning so I hadn't drink anything but one drink.

i normal start on or around the 20th of every month. its almost october and i havent had my sept cycle yet. there is no yay that i am pregnent. could it just be stress? i have had my hands full lately balancing school, sports, work, etc. could that cause my late period? should i not even worry about it?
