I had tried hormonal birth control before, and had adverse side effects. i.e. numbness of limbs, extreme dizziness, depression, leg pain, etc...And I was wondering, if I ever needed, if using Plan B would be safe for me.

I do plan on getting a copper IUD - only, I'm without that kind of health coverage at the moment (just so you know I'm not going to use Plan B as a continuous method of birth control)- and sometimes, you know..mistake are made.
We are only human.

Thanks for your help =)

Plan B is hormonal, so I would be leery of using it with your history. As for the IUD, most health insurance doesn't cover it, so start saving your money. It's around $500.

You would need to get the morning after pill, however you can probably get a prescription for birth control in the same visit if your doctor or clinic has an opening to do the exam. If they don't, still be sure to discuss it with them and schedule a time to come in for your exam and to start up on birth control. Edit to add: Plan B is not an abortion method. Fertilized eggs frequently fail to implant naturally, so if that alone could be considered 'abortion' - mother nature is the world's most frequent abortionist.

Probably not. Years ago I got the morning after pill and it was PILLS. You had to take like 5 pills and now it is only 1. But it is like BC pills. Talk to your doctor to make sure.
