Have you tried the brand OB?
They are a lot smaller and work better for a lot of women.
Tampax are way too big and uncomfortable for many.

Try putting a little bit of lubricant on the tip and on the sides of the applicater. If it still won't go in again then hold off on tampons for another 6 months to a year and then try again - your body might not be ready for it right now. Best of luck!

Try Tampax Sport Regular
They are very small, perfect for first timers
Rub some lubricant on the opening of your vagina (if you don't have any, you can use your saliva, sounds gross, but works just as good)
This wets the opening and it should just slide right in.
I wouldn't recommend OB for the first time because they don't have an applicator, it's just the tampon itself, so you need to get use to applicators first,

Tender subject but a real problem for some young ladies. You are a virgin. Your Hymen does not leave enough opening for a tampon to be inserted. It is physiological and not abnormal. You will need to see your Gynecologist for help.

I couldn't wear a tampon (not even the mini ones) until after I had lost my virginity. It just wouldn't fit in there! Just use pads for now, one day tampons will fit.

I mean as long as you are bleeding and not too dry i cant see why it would not go in? maybe if you got some kind of lubricant like ky and put a little on the tampon so it will go in easier...good luck

I had this problem. My mother used to say I just wasn't doing it right. Turns out that my hymen was completely blocking the way - just a tiny hole small enough to have a period. I had surgery, called a hymenectomy, and I use tampons now.

Use a pad. I can get tampons in, but they've never worked correctly or felt comfortable with me, so I just use pads.

Are you a virgin? If so you need to forget about the tampon unless you don't care about being that way anymore.
