I've wanted to become an obstetrician for a few years now (I've just started my first year at USC) but after researching a little, I've found that it might just be too much to handle. I really love this specialty though..is there any other profession in the medical field I could look into that's related to obstetrics, besides the OB doctor?

Patient Care Technicians also work in OB/GYN and do some of the things like take vital signs to help out the nurses. Also, there is a special kind of tech that works just in OB/GYN in the hospitals called an OB tech. Physicians' Assistants also work for OB/GYNs and with OB/GYNs as well. I met one at one of the OB/GYN offices I applied for a job at.
