When taking birth control pills. If my period hasn't come yet. Do I get a new pack and continue to take the white ones? When am I suppose to use the pink ones? Must I wait until my period starts before I start on the pink ones? I take them to regulate my period not for birth control.

Most pills come in either 21- or 28-day packs. It sounds like you are on a 28-day pack variety. You will take 3 weeks of the active pills, and one week of the non-active pills, then repeat with the next pack. Once you start taking the pills, just take them one a day in sequence until the pack is completely gone.

read the instructions. most pill packs are 3 weeks of ACTIVE pills, and 1 week of INACTIVE reminder pills. until you get used to taking the pill EVERY day, at the same time, take the reminder pills as well. if you miss a pill, take it ASAP when you realize you forgot it, and if it's the next day, take both pills. never skip a day and then just take one. you'll screw it up and get pregnant. remember, use a backup method for the first few days, or all the time (just in case), and if you are on antibiotics. antibiotics cancel out the Pill.

if you are a 1st-time user, your doctor should have explained EVERYTHING to you before leaving the office.

You take the pills as prescribed. Which is one per day at the same time each day. DO NOT skip pills.

Even if you don't get your period keep taking the pills as prescribed. Since it sounds like you are fairly new to birth control pills, it will take a while for your body to regulate with your pills.

So, just keep taking them one per day at the same time each day as prescribed.
