i turned 13 yesterday and i was moody the day before yesterday and today too and i think my lower tummy starting to cramp aand i cried twice today does that mean im going to get my period plz answer and what are the best brands of tampons and pads and should i use tampons or pads which are better if it is my period it will be my first

Your period will probably be coming soon, yes. Puberty can be pretty rough! If you're suffering with these emotional problems in the future and you know that your period is coming soon, I recommend taking Midol (it's a non-prescription medicine that helps with PMS issues).
The issue of using tampons or pads... Well, that's personal preference. Most people use pads for their first period, because tampons can be painful for some people (especially if you have cramps; tampons sometimes make your cramps even worse). If you're gonna use tampons, I recommend Tampax, but some people prefer Playtex. Again, matter of personal preference. I haven't worn pads in years, so I wouldn't know what to recommend. Sorry.

Cramping and mood-swings usually don't start with your first menstrual cycles, but you never know. As for as the brand, it's all a matter of opinion. Despite what the other person said, tampon are NOT painful unless they weren't inserted correctly. (If done properly, you can't feel them at all.) If you do insert it incorrectly, just take it out and get a new one. It's not rocket science and nothing to sweat about it. You'll be fine.
