I'm not sure if I spelled that right or not. Anyway, I went to a doctor about 3 years ago to get one done, and the pain was so bad that they eventually had to stop; they never finished the procedure. I'm not sure why it hurt so bad; a friend of mine told me to relax and it wouldn't hurt, but it didn't turn out that way. I'm planning on getting married in 2007, and I've heard that in order to get birth control, I have to have a Paps mear (done successfully). My question is, how can I prepare for this a second time, and what can I do so that it won't be so painful? And why is this a requirement for birth control? Thanks in advance for your answers.
