I am 4 days late. I had unprotected sex a few times using the withdrawal method.. my boyfriend always pulled out in enough time. He came about 5 seconds later outside of me each time. i'm feeling cramps and bloating and my other usual symptoms. Do you think I could still get my period within the next couple days? I've been under lots of stress especially now that I'm late. I was in a car accident a few days ago too, (nothing serious) but I was really shook up and nervous. Do you think that could also be a reason?

The withdrawal method does work, it worked for me all my life.
I can't recommend it to other people. I didn't solely use the withdrawal method.
There is pre-ejaculative fluids where sperm can reside before withdrawal.
I had a planned pregnancy, my son is 13th.
If you're real concerned, get an OTC pregnancy test.
4 days late isn't terribly unusual, seeing you've had a lot of trauma recently.

a) the withdrawal method does not work. Get a condom and some birth control, then consider having sex. Some have said that sex "just happens" and if that's your view, you are not mature enough to be in a sexual relationship.

b) You're probably just stressed out.

c) Go to the store and pick up a pregnancy test and find out.

I'm a nurse. Dear the withdrawal method isn't useful because when the male has an orgasm, their is semen that comes out even before he reaches a climax. Also stress can indeed have you period to be late or even have you to miss a month or two, that's normal. You should however see a doctor for a pregnancy test. Have a blood draw test, it's more accurate. Take care.

Pulling out is NOT an effective method of birth control. Even if he doesn't come inside you, there is pre-ejaculate that is secreted before a man comes, and there are sperm in that fluid. Why are you having unprotected sex? You can get sexually transmitted diseases that way, some of them deadly.

Please go to a doctor to be checked out and get on some form of birth control; and use a condom when you have sex, unless you're having it with an exclusive partner that you know has tested negative for STDs.

The "withdrawal" method isnt' a method because the preejaculate before ejaculation goes straight down the vagina. I suggest you learn how your body works before you make dumb as a brick decision with your vagina instead of your brains. Get a pregnancy test. If your really worried you can go to the dr and get a blood pregancy test.

Stop worrying please!!! This happend to me last month, 14 days late stress made me!!! but it taught me to get on something. If youre younger and you dont want your parents to know go to planned parenthood. Do anything to keep your mind off of it. Take a pg test to ease your mind, im sure your fine but next time be more careful, and get on something, it makes your periods so much easier anyways. But seriously, don't stress, it throws it off even more. A negative pg test shoudl show up by now. I went through 5 before I was satisfied lol then 3 days later i got it. Please don't worry and don't listen to all these idiots that tell you crap, it happens, spur of the momets do come. Don't stress, you'll be ok :)

No the accident couldn't have been the reason. You just have irregular periods. I say everyone who has had sex have irregular periods but some say it is not true. Don't worry. If i don't come in 3 days or more, then you need to go to the doc.

The withdrawl method, as a form of birth control, does not work!!! There is sperm in the pre-ejaculate, so even though he pulls out there is still sperm that is entering your body. Yes you could be pregnant. Take a pregnancy test.

it could still come. if you dont have predictable cycles, on top of all the stress youve been under, it could be delayed. stay on top if it in your planner and once you think youve "officially" missed it, do a home pregnancy test to be sure.

Getting your period is not timed. Maybe it is coming. But it is not there yet. Buy some stuff for it early though.
