I posted earlier this month about having two periods two weeks apart - now since the last day of my second period which ended on December 22nd, I have had a mild migraine every day including today. They seem to come on in the afternoon, about 4:30. Anybody else have this problem?

I would keep a journal & see if, you can find a marker what may be contributing to your migraines.
Note when you get them, what happened during the day i.e.; stress, lack of sleep, skipping meals, certain foods or exercising.
It also could be related to hormones, keep track of your cycle.
You may not be able to stop them completely but you may be able to control the frequency & intensity.
Does anyone else in your family get them, talk to them.
Hope this helps. :)

Do look at your pillow. Spine should be straight when you are lying down. Can do some gentle rotations daily in the shower with hot water on neck. Can apply heating pad to neck. Again, rotations to keep it mobile and from tightening. Can soak in hot bath. Can also try a nonsedating muscle relaxant prescribed by doc. Magnesium is natures muscle relaxant. I have heard many people swear by the magnesium phosphate homeopathic that you dissolve under the tongue (sublingual) every 15 min for muscle tightness/spasm. Any doc will see us as long as we allow it. Case with the chiro, he may well have seen you as a 'meal ticket' and just let you keep coming back. Without clearly defined goals, why not? Unless you are absolutely specific with any doc about your expectations and discuss expected outcomes, its real hard to know when enough is enough. So clear communication and devising a plan that has very specific goals with the doc are absolutely paramount. that way, when the goals haven't been met in the agreed upon time, can move on. Hope you feel better.

yes. i know exactly what you're going through. my migraines always used to hit me in the afternoons and get really bad as soon as i got home from work. there was never anything i could do except lay down in a dark room or sometimes sleep. the last time i got them really bad i had them for a month straight. I am on a migraine preventitive now and am mostly migraine free. though i still get headaches and migraines on occassion.

midol and ibueprofen can really help if you take them in the right does at the right time. i have a similar problem, only i always get the migraine on my last day. if you take the drugs at the first sign of the head ache then you can cut off the worst of it. if its possible during the migraine if you lay down, close your eyes, and move your head as little as possible it really helps. moving your head a lot can sometimes make it worse, or at least it does for me. i hope this helps.
