I have had a progressing problem with alcohol over the last three years. I went from drinking a glass of wine once or twice a week to about a whole bottle a night. I have been using it as a stress releiver at night. I have become dependent on it like a crutch. I am sick of feeling dependent and ruled by it. I decided to quit and gave myself a short term goal of one week to see how I feel without it. I didn't drink last night and besides feeling a little nervous and apprehensive at the beginning of my normal drinking time (6pm) I felt fine. My sleep was a bit restless though. Can someone who drinks a bottle of wine a night have withdrawls, if so when do they start ? I feel pretty good so far but just wondering if they haven't kicked in yet. Thanks for the advice.

All day long today I have been needing to use the bathroom, and every single time I get up and look there is blood in the toilet and when I wipe. Keep in mind this is only coming from my butt...and I have low back pain. I don't know what this could be, but I would hate to take a trip to the ER if I don't need to. My doctor is very hard to see since he is so busy so the ER is the only option I really have. What do you think this could be, and is it serious? Also, should I go to the ER just in case?

This is a report that was sent by a healthier living web site. If all these statements are so ture, and they think we should have it, why do they not just ban it as they did smoking?

The six unhealthiest foods to avoid at all costs!
1. Soda. An average can of soda has 10 teaspoons of sugar, 150 calories, 30 to 55 mg of caffeine, plus artificial food colors and sulphites. Diet sodas contain artificial sweeteners, which are even more unhealthy, and have even been linked to cancer.
2. Potato chips and French fries. These popular snack foods contain acrylamide, a known cancer-causing agent that is formed when foods are baked or fried at high temperatures. They're also full of trans fats, which have been linked to heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.
3. Doughnuts. Break a doughnut down, and you'll find nothing more than refined sugar and flour, artificial flavors, and partially hydrogenated oil that is loaded with trans fats. A true heart attack on a plate, doughnuts have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
4. Coffee cake and other baked goods. These foods almost always contain high amounts of trans fats as well as corn syrup, preservatives, and artificial flavors and colors. In fact, not only are these foods often made with hydrogenated oils, but they're usually fried in them too. True triggers for diabetes, cancer, and heart disease!
5. Luncheon meats/hot dogs. Processed meats like these contain a cancer-causing ingredient known as sodium nitrite, a known cancer causing agent.
6. Canned soup. Most canned soups have high levels of trans fats, sodium, and artificial preservatives. Just one cup can contain almost 1,000 milligrams of salt, nearly half of the recommended daily guidelines. This is a blood pressure nightmare!

You DO have other options. Many of these foods offer natural and organic alternatives. But even so, be sure to read the label to make sure you aren't getting fooled. You hold the power to decide what goes into your mouth. The key is having the knowledge to determine what is good for you, and what is bad.

Marijuana---- The Lowdown.
I'm not going to claim to be an expert on Marijuana. Im not going to say that I know everything about it because I don't. I will just tell my short side.
I started smoking when I was 14, Im 21 now. I went through every phase of Weed use you can think of. I have relatives who sell the drug. Alot of people say this, but the difference is that my relatives are actual MILLIONAIRES from it. I've seen thousands of pounds of Chronic on tables (no seeds at all, barely any stems, stinking up a HUGE area of space) Marijuana is indeed addictive. I was addicted to it. It causes people to lose sight of their real goals in life and it hinders your performance. It can turn a bright child with the world at his fingertips into just an ordinary person. It can cause anxiety around women, and people and general, although in reality it these things can be overcome with a bit of willpower. It will make you forget things.Running out of space so respond and I will too.

well i'm a 15 year old guy..and im only 5 foot 3. i've just been so frustrated with my height because EVERYONE is taller than me. My friends that used to be shorter than me are suddenly waay tall. I feel like the third wheel when im with my friends because If we are all standing and having a conversation, I'm all the way down here and I cant get a word in. Its fine for girls to be short because guys like girls to be shorter than them. I also have a fear of dating other girls because i KNOW they will turn me down. In today's society how many people do you see that have a shorter husband or boyfriend? none. I just don't know how i am going to live my whole life like this. It causes me to have soo much low self esteem and lack of confidence. Im afraid of applying for jobs because im so short. I try to avoid social events because everyone there is much larger than i am. I went to subway to order some food, and they have trouble hearing me because i can really talk directly to them. The little glass thing blocks most of me. I just dont know what to do anymore. I know your probably going to say i'm only 15 and i have time to grow but no. All my friends who were always teased about being short are now tall. I used to be taller than people at my school and now im not. Just hard for me to do anything socially related. I feel if i was taller than i could achieve more of my goals. Do more of the things i love. help please! i heard there was like some growth hormone you could get injected in you does that work? =(
