There is alot you can do to ease the symptoms of acid reflux.
Your doctor should have told you, but perhaps you didn't listen.
Anyway, avoid all carbonated beverages, eat small frequent meals rather than three large meals. Always eat sitting upright at the table (rather than slumped on the sofa), sleep on three or more pillows.
Continue with any physical activities you enjoy, but avoid doing them for thirty minutes before and after you eat. Always remain upright for thirty minutes after you eat.
Minimize high acid foods, like tomatos, pickles, and dairy products. (yes, dairy products are full of lactic acid.)

There is usually a key item that triggers acid reflux. Something with sugar is common. Find out what yours is and stop eating it. Try not eating something that you commonly eat and see if it stops. Then try something else until you find success. It takes some will power to change your diet which may not be easy as you can tell by all the people that die each year from just plain eating foods that cause unhealthy results, early death. Stop drinking any thing but water is always a good thing. If you have a medical problem where the little valve that stops regurgitation is not functioning or is abnormal then all bets are off. You will have to stay upright while your food is digesting and restrict your diet severely. You would need to consider medical repair. But more common is bad food habits, overeating, tight clothes, and bad posture.

alright hun..I would tell you what to take, but your only 14 and that too young to start taking medication. So all you need to do is watch what you eat. The foods that give you the heartburn you should stay away from. This is what I do...if I know I'm going to eat something spicy or something that's going to start my heart burn I take a couple of tums before and after dinner and I drink alot of milk with my meal. Greasy foods could be a big cause of all this. good luck
