Hair IS dead. It's only alive under the scalp.
No, the lice cream is not going to do terrible damage to your hair. Besides, it is much more important to make sure that you kill all the lice and their eggs.....or you will have to shave your whole head.

Lice cream and/or shampoo does not kill your hair. It actually will make it soft feeling. Just remember to follow the directions on the bottle as to how often to use and be sure to wash EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
