I need glasses, but I can't get 'real' glasses right now. It will probably be a couple of months before I can get an appointment to get my eye's checked out. Until then I was going to get some reading glasses. First of all is this a good idea? Will it make my eyes worse? Also, how do I know what 'prescription' to get? Is it just try them on and see if they work kind of thing? Thanks for the help.

I live with my fiance in a 3 fam. house that his parents own(they live on the first fl) and last year my son got lead poisoning from the house. His level was 49 and he was 2years old. I never knew anything about lead poisoning and his parents never warned me about it. I didnt sue them and we stayed in a hotel for 3 months while they fixed our appartment. It just seems to me that she is more worried about getting sued than she is for my son. his parents fixed most of their appartment too but they just recently built a porch that is level with a window and the outside of the window still has lead paint and I keep telling them to cover it and they said why its our house & our enterance and I told her because my son wants to go on that porch with the other kids and its dangerous to all the kids here ..she just rolled her eyes. My son is always going to have prob from this.. Would you sue her if you were me? do you think their homeowners insurance covers this?

Lately someone in my life has been drinking more than their not. I don't think an intervention would work because not too many other people are seeing what I'm seeing. Can anyone offer suggestions as to how to handle this?

I know we die if we don't drink water, by why? What's in it that makes it so important for us to have it. I can't think of anything else, other than air (which I get) that is so fundamentally important to our survival. And, are there any creatures (aside from bacteria) than can survive without water?

What is the adv of the Western Closet apart from the fact that elders & ppl with knee problems need not strain to squat like they need2 do when using the Indian one.
The adv of Indian one as I have seen r :
1) The skin doesn't come in contact with any surface in the toilet
2) When u squat, the abdomen gets the right amount of pressure to relieve faeces. I have been told by WC users that sitting on the closet and having to exert pressure to relieve is not comfortable. These are people with healthy bowel movements, not some constipated ones.
3) When you wash yourself with water, it's much more hygienic than wiping with a tissue which is defnly not 100% clean. Maybe u can cleanse with water and then dry with the tissue
4) You will invariably have to wash your feet and hands, which will prevent germs entering the house.
5) Most imp, in the WC, the faeces either sticks2 the basin or splashes onto the skin.

Despite all this, I wonder y ppl choose WC sometimes. Any medical reasons?
