Treat with a proper shampoo specifically for this, remove nits with fine tooth comb, then follow with TeeTree oil...massage the oil into the hair and leave on 5-10 minutes then rinse.
Follow this with Tee Tree oil massage after every shampoo to keep nits away.

A nurse told me that conditioner and a nit comb is the best cure. Comb through a few times over a week or two to make sure you got them all!!

The only thing that works is wetcombing with a nitcomb and conditioner twice weekly i also heard that coconut conditioner repels them so i bought some coconut oil from a local store but i tiny amount in a spray bottle then but a few drops of teatreeoil in mixed it with water and spray it on my daughters hair before i do it for school also once a week i blowdry and straighten my daughters hair as a hairdresser told me it is harder for them to cling to straightened hair although i wouldn't reccomend doing it every day due to heat damage .
always tie their hair in a tight ponytail or plaits and our school are introducing bandanas as part of the school uniform so their hair will be mostly covered hope this helps good luck.

Nits transfer at school. They cannot live in dirty hair, so either do as suggested above and grease the kid's hair a little or wash it only on Friday night.

my daughter constantly gets nits, this may seem a bit harsh but believe me it works, i covered my little girls hair in vegetable oil, then went thru it with a nit comb, the eggs slid off as it was so oily, then we thoroghly washed her hair 2 or 3 times, we have only done this twice but it did work and we got rid of the eggs in one hit, u only have to miss one egg and they will be back again. good luck
