Why not - right and wrong don't really enter into this as long as you're not harming anyone else whatever you want to do is fine.

It's not a matter of right or wrong, it is a matter of why?
Why are you doing it?
If it is because you need to (an older friend had her eyes done because the top drooped over so much it was cutting down on her vision, another friend got a broken nose when they were young - getting a nose job straightened the inside of their nose and fixed breathing problems they had for years) then I would say yes.
If it is because you are unsatisfied with the way you look, then it would be time to find out what is the real reason behind the dissatisfaction.
If you are trying to fill up a "hole" inside of you by changing the outside, it won't work.
You may be temporarily happy, but it will only be temporary.
There are many people out there that get surgery after surgery trying to "fix" something that has nothing wrong with it.
If you are trying to live up to someone else's ideal of what perfect should look like, you do not need to look perfect (you do not need to be perfect either).
You are wonderful just the way you are!!
Let me repeat that - - -
YOU ARE WONDERFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!!

It will only make you happy for a while.
You cannot be happy all the time.
There are lots of underlying reasons why people get cosmetic surgery. If you dont tackle the root of the problems they will eventually come back and you are back to square one.

More accurately - a very tiny minuscule fraction of the population are getting cosmetic surgery - that is hardly everyone - look it up - how many actually doing it and how many there are total. Not much.
But to answer your question - why not it's your body. Carve away.

Yes is right. But what's best is accept the way you are on the inside. You can have your whole face changed and stay with low self-esteem if you don't accept yourself as you are.

I'm not getting it!
But yes, if it makes someone happier then why not.
Lifes too short to spend it miserable. Draw on every resource possible to make improvements,

if it's like you have way too much fat on your body and you will die from heart failure, then by all means go ahead and get lipo'd, but if you thing getting my nose fixed will make my boyfriend think i'm way more hot!! then forget it. it's a was of money, and your boyfriend doesn't care.

So long as you are not risking your life unnecessarily and understand that changing your looks will not change who you are. Then I say go for it if it makes you feel better about your image.
