i think it's perfectly normal! you just don't hear it alot anymore because people are all about not being "normal" they want to be creative and be unlike everyone else and really are they are doing is being just like someone else anyway.

i am very proud when i hear of someone who is not afraid to tell people that they are in their 20's (or older) and they are a virgin and proud of it! be proud of yourself- thats awesome!

I don't think there is a such thing as "normal" when it comes to ones choice to be self-restrained. Also, by defining what is "normal", anything outside of it will be "ABnormal."

As far as I am concerned, it is a matter of personal choice. Thus any decision you are comfortable is the right choice for you, therefore it is "normal" for you.

I am wondering, if everyone in this forum said it is NOT normal, you are going to go out and have a relationship? This is one place where others' opinion doesn't count, or even concensus and statistics don't count.

Everyone is different.

By the way, I am male and I was 24 when - and I am still pleased and comfortable with my decision.

it is totally widespread for absolutely everyone to be 24 and a virgin, yet I see your element. perchance she had suffered some, or per chance she's purely no longer an open individual - only she will allow you to understand that. you could perchance ask her, yet do not anticipate a instantly answer, because she received't be an open individual, or if she did journey trauma doesn't pick to discuss it. It doesn't look like you're forcing her and that is sweet - take issues sluggish and see how they bypass. open as a lot as her and he or she ought to do an similar to you. maximum of all, rigidity that you're there for her and also you want her very a lot. all of us pick somewhat of help now and again. good success.

Of course it is!! We concentrate a lot of energy and value on a woman's status as a virgin in this culture, while at the same time giving mixed messages about sexuality ... like eight year old girls who have no business wearing spaghetti strap tops, hip huggers and platform shoes!!! If you have not chosen, for whatever reason, to have a sexual relationship with someone, that is your business and yours alone. You will when you are ready, and hopefully it will be with someone who is gentle, kind, loving and deserving.

There's nothing wrong with it, if that's what you mean. Some people hold off having sex until marraige, while others are just not interested in sex, or are afraid to have sex because of disease or pregnancy. If you're uncomfortable with why you're still a virgin, perhaps you should seek medical help or counseling. If you want to stay a virgin, there's no reason why you can't.

It is perfectly normal. You can be a virgin as long as you like. There is nothing in the world wrong with saving yourself. You and some lucky man will be glad you did in the long run.You are also very respected for doing it.

It's a sign of several admirable qualities: High self-esteem, the ability to recognize negative consequences, the ability to delay gratification, etc.

Plus, you've been spared the diseases and pregnancy scares and abortions that plague the less-smarter people in your generation.

Good for you!

Yes it is. You are obviously saving yourself for a good reason. Congratulations! Alot of girls already have 2 or 3 kids which is ridiculous. You should be proud of yourself.

Yes, if that was your choice. You'd better not let yourself influenced by the prejudices. If you haven't found the perfect person, you have all the time in the world for it.
