I often felt the headlight from the opsite-direction cars hurt my eyes. Is there a type of eye glasses can prevent this? Is the normal sunglasses OK?

Since the beginning of September I have been having like fuzzy vision. The best way I found to describe it is if you go to Photoshop and use the Noise filter, that's what I see...its like a fuzzy screen over my vision...its not a major problem, but it gets annoying. I still see in the same clarity and my prescription is fine I still see everything, its just this like fuzzy screen over my vision. What's wrong? Should I see an optomologist?

My old eye doctor no longer accepts my insurance type. I have National Vision Administrators (NVA), I found 145 accepted but I don't know who to choose. I want someone with a huge selection of glasses. Here is the list of optometrist I can see within 30 miles. Help me choose, or how do I choose, they should put there websites on there!!! Also don't say Dr. Dudenhoffner since he as a cool name lol!!

My eye doctor reccomended that I do this "new procedure" to correct my vision. He said he had to consult with another doctor before it started, but the way he described it to me sounded a little off. He said that I'll be wearing a special kind of hard lens at night while I sleep and it will slowly reshape my cornias to a point where I will no longer need contacts or glasses. (this whole deal came about when it was discovered that I cannot wear contacts due to a my funky-shaped cornea)
I also have acute estigmatism, and the doctor said that this procedure will "cure" that, too.
Has anyone heard of this? Do you know where I can get more information? Is it a good idea?

I was diagnosed with a severe case of Dacryocystitis, which is an infected sac connected to your tear glands. I have been on antibiotics and in/out of the hospital for the last two weeks to get the swelling and pain manageable. My Opthometrist is sending me to a specialist on monday, and it's possible they may have to operate to remove any obstruction. Has anyone had this done? Is it painful? Do they put you under? Will it leave scarring? I'd really like to know the breakdown of any procedures they'll do on me. Thanks for ANY serious answers.

My research is not getting me anywhere so I thought I would try Yahoo Answers friends. I am interested in finding out the downside/upside of surgery itself, of single vision, of ReStor lens. I am scheduled to have my worst eye done on 12/6 and then the other 2 weeks later. Am concerned to say the least because I am a computer programmer and without good vision, no money. My eyes, other than the cataracts, are very healthy and I have no other health issues.

hey, i'll be going on a holiday in europe. mainly switzerland, germany, france and U.K. what i'm wondering over is whether it is okay to wear contacts when i'm there. i'll be arriving in europe next friday.(23th nov) and will stay there for 12 days. i assume its just about winter time right?
the thing is, i want to wear contact lenses instead of my specs. i've been using contacts for about the past 7 mths or so. i use "focus dailies" one-day soft lenses. i've heard that during winter time, it'll be cold and dry...and one's eyes will be sort of dry... and it will be uncomfortable to one's eyes if one is wearing contacts. may i have your point of view on this?
oh and.. on the plane...will it be fine to wear contacts? i dont plan to buy any special lenses. i plan to use my ordinary one-day ones. thanks a bunch people. =)

I feel as tho I can't focus properly and my eyes want to go all over the place when I try so stare at one item. I get headaches about 2 times a week or more and my eyes often get sore. Sometimes my head will hurt in one spot also like at the back or something and i'll feel like its it in my brain? This may not have anything to do with it.. I also feel like my vocabulary has decreased and I have a hard time saying what I want to say and like im fumbeling to find the right words. It makes me feel stupid especially because I come from a smart family..What could this be? I will see a doctor but what so you think this could be?

My daughter was refered to the hospital last year because during an eye exam she happened to mention that when she reads she has above line bluring(when the words she sees blur making two lines of the same writing one above the other). We were told this is unusual as most people who have double vision see side to side blurring. At the hospital we were told she has above normal vision and that it can't be corrected by wearing glasses as it's not an eyesight failing. This is causing my child to be behind in her reading and spelling at school,my daughters 12.
Is there a name for this condition and does anyone else suffer from it?
What tips if any do you have for dealing with reading(my daughter gets bored of reading the same line over and over in a piece of text because of the blurring).
Ty in advance xx

i have been wearing my hard contacts for two years and every few days i get little "contact attacks". when my eye hurts theres a red spot. tears start coming out of my eyes and my friends say "are you ok? are you having another contact attack?"
im thinking that its because dust gets in my eye or something.
QUestions:
1. why do hard contacts hurt for me
2. does it hurt for you occasionallly (if you have them)
3. what can i do when this happens
4. how to prevent
