When we think of "double vision" we think of two images side-by-side. However, back around mid-summer, my boyfriend began to experience occasional incidents of VERTICAL double vision - one image ABOVE the other! The incidents were sporadic and short-lived at first, but have become more frequent and longer-lasting with the passage of time.
In Late August, his vision got "stuck" that way for a couple of days, then turned loose and went back to intermittent again.

The eye doctors he has seen at the VA Hospital are totally bewildered and have NO idea what it is or what to do about it.
He thinks it is a side effect from his medications, but the doctors keep denying that - even though it lessens if he cuts back on his prostate meds and one of his inhalers. However, both of these meds are vital to him, so he cannot cut them out entirely.
Has anyone else ever encountered this?
Does anyone know what it is and what we can do about it?

I'm 16 and I have a lazy left eye that crosses inward. I went cross eyed soon after birth and my eyes were severely crossed until my first surgery at age 8. Patching wasn't possible because my left eye was too crossed to see and patching my right eye would of blinded me. Glasses didn't help either.

After surgery it was less severe, but there was still a small turn. Thats when I found out I had no vision in my left eye. I haven't had anymore surgeries because my parents say its pointless.

But my eyes are starting to cross in a lot again and it keeps getting worst. Will it stop or will I go back to looking like before surgery??? Its getting embarrassing and I've been styling my hair to hide it. Should I be worried?

I had a macbook, and my husband gave me his macbook pro. Ever since i have been using his computer, which has a much larger moniter, and it seems brighter as well, my eyes have had red veins in the corners (near my nose) of the white area. Its very ugly up close. I also have dry air suddenly due to drop in temps, and am using heat more. I sit near the heat return while i work on the computer, also. I wonder if its the new computer screen? Or the dry air? or both?

I am experiencing some itchyness with my eyes. and when i wake in the morning they are kind of crusty (tmi, i know).

any help is appreciated.

have just seen a tv bulletin about a remedy for short sightedness, this involves wearing a contact lens at night which reshapes your cornea. apparently some people have reported their vision has improved to 20/20 just after the first night. Has anyone done this and if so, do you know how much it cost you? I am in australia, so please tell me your currency so i can convert, thanks

I'm 13 years old. I just told I need glasses because I'm nearsighted. Both my parents have good eyesight. My eye doctor told me that your nearsightness get worse. How worse do people get? My power now is -1.25 How bad is to get to be more nearsighted? Its scary? How bad does it get to not being able to see without glasse?

Thank you

I have a anatomical lump in my skull bone behind my left hear and it has been there since my scull formed. When I put glasses on, the ear piece fits directly over this bump and it leaves so much pressure, I have to take the glasses off. It about drives me crazy.
What do you think I should do? I need glasses to be able to see since I am now in my 40's. I push the glasses up about 1/2 inch to get over the bump and I think it makes me look like I am trying to be silly. Have you ever heard of anyone doing this before?

There is something wrong with my eyes, I think it may be to do with my 'condition' (I'm anorexic. I weigh 6 stone/84 pounds and am 5'7"). I'm getting worried. My eyes are blood shot, I think it's called, and I have purple/pinkish coloured circles and bags around my eyes. Are they infected or something? Could this lead to something serious? What can I do to get rid of them? My skin is horrible and pale at the moment so they really show up, and it's not nice at all. I tried eyedrops and drinking water to detox, but that hasn't worked.

I'm having the worst luck with glasses. I want to know if I will get my 100% refund based on the following dates

* 10/6 Put in order for new glasses (Rimless)
* 10/18 Took same glasses back for new prescription change
* 10/18 (later that day) I went back to cancel order b/c I didn't like the glasses. So I ordered another pair of glasses
*10/30 New prescription change
* I picked up these glasses yesterday and I still can't see good and they are suppose to be the same exact vision that's in my old glasses. I'm not sure if it's how the glasses are shaped or b/c they are scothgard lenses but I can't see as clear out them as I do w/ my other glasses. Again they are suppose to be the EXACT same as my old glasses. Do you think based on the dates I will get my money back? THANKS

I had an eye test yesterday at the opticians - he made a very thorough examination of my eye & looked inside the eye for ages with the light etc. I realised though that I have never had a test for glaucoma, even though it runs in my grandmother's side of the family. Would he have spotted something amiss while looking to make him do the test, or can't you see the signs from a normal examination.

I have slept with my contacts in for a while and I just took them out. My eye sight seems very blurry will it go back to normal? Is it just because I got used to seeing with 20/20 vision?

I have -2.25 and +1.5 on both eyes and wearing multifocal lenses. I work with computers all day every day. Lately i have problems while working at the PC and have to take my glasses off then I have to sit too close to the screen. My optometrist suggested Physio lenses but they are too expensive. Does someone have an answer please? I see people talk about Rx and pentax lenses what is best for a multifocal pair of glasses? thank you
