Just curious:

How many fellow Licensed Opticians are part of Yahoo Answer? (and # of years in the field).

I heard there are about 13,000? in the united States. Are we all part of Yahoo Answer? :-) nice wish!

ps. please don't feel you have to answer if you are not an optician :-)

Hi , I'm a board certified optician in Ontario, Canada.

Licenced in 1970. I have had my own practice since 1980.

I browse this section often and answer unless there is already a good answer there.

Not licensed because my state doesn't require licensure, but I have been a certified optician for 20 years.

My state doesn't require state licensure, but most companies in those states highly recommend being ABO certified. I love what I do and am ABO certified.
