Yes, you can- but buying glasses online makes no sense- How are you going to get measured for these glasses? What if they don't fit right? Worse yet, what if you cant see out of them? Find yourself a good optician that doesnt look at you as their next commission- one that takes pride in their work, asks the appropriate lifestyle questions- this is an investment in your eyes and the proper professional help is always appreciated over time.

There's lots of places... google online glasses and you'll find some. Zennioptical.com, optical4less.com, lbweyewear.com, eyeglassfactoryoutlet.com, goggles4u.com are some places I've bought from; these were all cheap no-name frames, but quality was mostly decent... no worse than some local optical stores that charge 10 times as much for comparable frames and lenses. Prices for name brand frames generally aren't such a good deal; I've bought glasses cheaper at a real optical store than I could get them online, by shopping around or waiting for a real sale. There's name brand frames for sale on eBay; some could be stolen, some counterfeit, so be sensible. You can take them to a local optical store to have lenses put in, or send 'em someplace like opticallabdirect.com. eBay is also a good source if you're into retro frames; there's new old stock frames dating back to the '50s on there regularly.

Unless you have a very normal nose that most plastic frames fit, be careful of buying plastic frames without trying them. Metal frames have adjustable nose pads so if you're some kind of mutant like me you can still make them fit.

never heard of it...frames yes but Rx lenses probably not. some Rxs are very complicated and need a specific frame (i.e., size) and need measurements done with the person being present (like bifocals or if you need the optic centres measured)...
