Yes, Absolutely in some cases there could perhapes, some ingrediants, in particular eyeliners that could set you're allergies off, however nothing to drastic!!!! So not much to worry there!!! only unless you slept with the makeup intact, without cleaning it.

Yes, you can have an allergic reaction to ANY make-up, especially eye make-up. The eyes are VERY sensitive. It could easily be your mascara as well.
Most women don't do this, but did you know that you should THROW OUT your mascara, even if it's still nearly full "at least every six months?" Three months is safer if you use it every day.
The burning could be from allergy OR contamination which could result in a VERY dangerous bacterial infection. Throw out all your eye make-up (yes, there's an expense, but who'd rather be blind right?) and buy all new. Then, use mascara and no eye liner one day. Maybe on a Sat or Sun when you're home, use eye liner and no mascara... try the same with your shadows...
I get burning sometimes but it's because I put moisturizer too close to my eyes. Did you know that once you pat on moisturizer even 1/2 inch below your eyes, it creeps up? Never put anything too close, it goes in!
Good luck and look for anti-allergic products if the elimination test doesn't work. More commonly though make-up is old and contaminated before allergies but it could be either or both!
Hey, just in case... pay for an eye exam and tell the Optometrist because burning eyes can also need a prescription! If you don't where anything, you may "think" you see perfectly fine until he puts a lens in front of your eyes that makes you say, "Wow, I didn't realize I wasn't seeing THIS clear!" That happened to me! You don't have to get headaches...

It could be a few things....your eyeliner could be contaminated (you should clean it with hand sanitizer after every use...put it on a tissue and run your eye liner thru it to kill bacteria)...
It could be running into your eyes...especially if you rub your eyes a lot...by the end of the day you could be rubbing them more so than when you first get to work
Or you could be allergic. Try different brands and see if it always happens. Almay is supposed to be hypoallergenic...so that might be the one to try.

Make up is a common cause of eye allergy. You can be allergic to the pigments, the liquid portion or any of the chemicals in the eyeliner used to preserve it.

Yes it is,
I've had a similar problem before.
You can get some herbal eye liner, its good for sensitive eyes.
I bought some at Sally's Beauty Supply for like $4.

Yes. I use hypoallergenic eyeliner by Almay and it helps. I tend to now not wear eyeliner.
