I just ordered 1.67 high index polycarbonate lenses with nice frames, with the anti-reflective coating from Zenni optical for $50, and that includes shipping. I did a lot of research, and everthing I read about them was positive. If you don't have insurance like me, $50 is a hell of a lot better than the $350 dollars my optician just quoted me.
And hey bitter optometrist guy, quit charging up to $600 for freaking glasses, and maybe we won't be forced to buy on the internet!

America's Best 2 pair for $69, $79, and $99! Your choice of frames is what makes the price go up.. and this includes your exam!

WalMart is usually pretty cheap. I got my eye exam for $50, and the glasses were another $50. They may have gone up slightly, but still pretty cheap.

TRY AMERICA'S BEST. BE CAREFUL THO, THEY SAY $69.99 BUT, DEPENDING ON PRESCRIPTION THE PRICE WILL GO WAY UP. I PAID ABOUT $190 A FEW YEARS AGO. YOU GET 2 PAIRS OF GLASSES & THE EYE EXAM SO IT'S REALLY WORTH IT! GOOD LUCK;)

If they're just reading glasses, the dollar store has them. Otherwise, try COSTCO or other large store's Optometry department.
