i am going to see a psychiatrist i a mildly depressed but i don't have thoughts about suicide. I go from happy to sad like that. My moods change quickly. What antidepressant should I be receiving.

p.s cant get drugs off doc/know friend who went nuts after taking benzos/ please dont say exercise, cognitive behavioural therapy/councelling or breathing exercises as these dont work, tried them already....

I think pens and forks are disgusting! I can't stand the sight of them! (or people who use them...which is pretty much every one.) My parents think I should see a phsychologist about my phobia. But I think I'm fine. What do you people think?

My doctor changed me from Zoloft to Effexor to treat my depression. I seem to be having a lot of side effects from taking it. It is making my blood pressure go through the roof, and I really feel much more depressed now. I have read that people already taking medications for high blood pressure should not take effexor. My doc is aware of my blood pressure problem, so I am wondering why he even would have perscribed Effexor. I have an appointment to talk with my doc on Monday. I just wanted to get some info from others as to what side effects they may have had, before I talk to my doctor about changing me back to Zoloft. Any info you can give me would be helpfull. Thanks

im 29 and at the moment tryin to cope with lonliness and rejection. it seems like every girl i approach, on the net, if i make a proposal. or at the gym where ive been goin for a few weeks now, i get turned down, nobody wants me. i met 2 girls, 1 at the gym one on the net, i thought i was getting along ok with the one i met at the gym, we exchanged phone numbers, we phoned each other a couple of times, last night i asked if she had a boyfriend, she said, she did have but not at the moment & that it was a long story, so i asked her out, like proposed,& she suddenly stopped texting me. i phoned her today she said there was someone there & she couldnt talk. the girl on the net doesnt *** online to speak to me no more. double wammy. i have mental health probs that ive had since 15, high anxiety, panic attacks, no self esteem, but my main prob is anger. and i dont go out anymore, because it seems to build up inside me, lookin at people, feeling angry at them & i get scared i could have a...

I am a home support worker. One of my clients is not much older than me and we grew up in the same small community. I help her once a week to clean her place because she has a hard time walking (she was hit by a car when she was a teen). She keeps getting depressed and so she constantly phones me to tell me what a terrible day she is having. She won't take any of my advice. Just sits in her apartment all day doing nothing except shaking and resting. Most of the time I don't answer her calls (caller ID) but then eventually I do and have to make up a story about where I was. But she is so depressing. What should I do or say without making her more depressed?

Okay, here's my situation. I live with my ex-husband and his mom because I don't earn enough money to live alone yet. I have a guy I have been seeing for over a year, but he lives about 2 hours away and we both work full time, so I only get to see him about once a week.

I really love my new boyfriend and I'm waiting for him to ask me to move in with him so I won't have to live where I am now.

The problem started when my ex recently met some other girl on the internet and now he's always on the phone with her and I don't know why I'm jealous because I don't want to be with my ex anymore. But he's always on the phone with her and for some reason it bothers me and I'm overcome with the urge to beat him until he falls into a coma and smash his cell phone into little pieces.

Like I said, I don't want him anymore, so what's wrong with me?

ok this is what happened, Ive been a user of the green stuff[pot] since I was in jr high Im now 22 i was high and talking with a friend when i lost normal consiousness. its like I was hearing what she was saying but i wasnt Like something disconnected in my brain. thats the only way i know how to put it. but it freaked me out, im wondering if that could happen to me permenantly. What the hell happened? noone seems to know. has anyone else expierienced this? it was like i suddnly got depressed right before it happened
