Most people have phobias, many to different things- things that they might be embarrassed of telling others about.
I think you're lucky because you know what your "phobia" is. If you can avoid coming in contact w/ those things, then great. if this is something that starts taking over your life, then maybe professional help might be something to look into.
Good luck!

I am very scared of water.. but I take showers and swim in the pool in the backyard occasionally.. the reality of the situation is that although you may be afraid of pens and forks.. they are as essential to everyday life as water is.. I am certainly not going to say just get over it, but life will contimue to be difficult unless you find some kind of solution to what seems to be affecting you. My suggestion would be that you give it a chance and see what a psychologist thinks about it? You have nothing to lose, (except maybe your phobia) and there is no shame in admitting a flaw. Can you name a person in your life that doesn't have one? I can't.
The question is really.. if you feel 'fine',
why would your parents be so concerned. I would take that as a hint that something might be wrong..
Maybe it is something like a nasty bug on the back of your shirt.. you can't see it.. but someone will always let you know it is there.
Give it some consideration.. It is very natural to be rebellious towards your parents, but your mental health should not have to suffer because of it :)

A fear of pens and forks can and will affect your every day life. You should generally seek treatment or help for a phobia if it affects your every day life. Most people see forks and pens many times a day. If it comes to the point where you cannot go out to dinner, or be around an office, I think its time to get help. If it's just a general disliking of the objects, but you can still stand to be around them and use them when necessary, it's probably okay.

I think you have problems and need a phsychologist..
if you aren't using a fork how are you gonna eat??
and in school and work and at certain times you need to use a pen, so how are you gonna write??
pens and forks aren't gross... people who dont use them are

You might have a severe form of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) I would recommend that you see someone so the problem doesn't get worse later on in life. It can be treated with good results. :)

I think you should use chopsticks. Tell everybody you picked up the habit on a trip to the Orient.
