Get up and do something.

Doing almost anything is the start towards beating it. Go for a walk. Clean something and admire what a good job you have done, talk to someone.

Simple steps butthe more you take the less depressed you will be.

St. Johns wort is proven to help aide depression, available in the vitamin section in most drug stores. Excercising and doing things you enjoy also boost your mood significantly. Don't get involved in anything too stressful. Usually there are talk lines you can call when you are feeling down to talk to someone, or chat rooms on the internet. But if you are seriously depressed you should really start saving your money or something for the benefit of your mental health and the others around you. Personal health should always be the most important factor in your life - so don't ignore your personal needs and take care of yourself!

There are plenty of websites out there that are now geared to helping. You can join online communities, or look in your area for an anonymous meeting to attend. Medical help isn't always what it's cracked up to be, either. Learning about depression and all that follows it will be a start for you to learn how to manage and deal with it properly.

Find a way to get to a doc.....tell them your financial situation. There are generic versions of both Prozac and Zoloft......Make yourself a priority and find a way to afford medication. Ask your parents for help. Most parents would cough up a little cash for medication. Good Luck.....Take care of your self....so you can be there for your kiddos.

check with your public clinic. check to see if you can qualify for medicaid. check to see if there's a teaching hospital near you,you may qualify for free service or be charged a small fee. the teaching hospital will also provide you meds at a reduced rate or even free, if you meet their financial criteria.
