How do I get rid of my claustrophobia (the fear of small enclosed spaces) without visiting a psychologist? I mean, it's horrible. I'm afraid of elevators! I can't lock myself in a bathroom!
What I fear is that I'll loose my breath in there. I know it's impossible, but still...
Please help is you have an idea...

I got rid of my TV about 5 years ago now, and I haven't looked back. To me television is nothing but a control box that tells you what to do, what to think, how to behave and if you don't look a certain way you are nothing but a loser. I say, for your own health and happiness, get RID of your television. Nurture the greatness that you will find in your own unobstructed natural mind. I have become so much more creative and productive and heathier. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you.

I am a nice girl, very happy and everything. But sometimes I can get very "bitchy" for no reason, even though people around me are very nice. It ruined my last relationship and I am scared it will happen with my current one. Also, sometimes I am very confused in my thoughts, and things like that. I just cannot control my anger, and sometimes I am angry for stupid reasons. I remember i made a hole in the wall before just because I was too angry. I know this cannot be normal. Could I be bipolar, or something else?
Please only respond if you know what you're talking about.
Thanks in advance.

Have you been in therapy? What things did you like or dislike about your therapist? I am a social worker and have many clients, but I would like to hear from you...what worked for you?

Is this all there is in life? or am I not making the most of it? It's dark where I live and I've just been out with my dogs. Standing on a hill I was looking at all the street lights as far as I could see. There was thousands of lights, thousands of houses with people who I have never met and they all have lives which are so important to them but in the grand scheme of things matter to nobody. As my life matters to nobody. I have this burning feeling in my gut saying there's more then this but I don't know where to go!

My back doctor is recommending I see one as he believes I will deal with pain for the rest of my life. Before I spend my hard earned dollars (I have no health insurance) I need to know if they are truly effective.

I am social phobic but wonder if agoraphobic too. It is painfuly hard for me to even check the mail box, make phone calls, mowe the grass, go places. I am somewhat a hermit with no one to turn to and the only person that pays for my living right now is judgmental. I can't work cause of this and I think I need to change doctors. Any help without being judgemental will be strongly appreciated. I need self help as well as the docors but trying to just put myself out there to exposure is very painful.

I had OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) when I was Nine. I had no idea what caused it, but when I was that age I had to wash my hands consistantly and I was scared to death of the colors green and red. I would never wear them and if I touched them I had to wash my hands. My mom took me to see a doctor about it and I was diagnosed with it. I had it for a couple years but it went away.

But now that I am 13, I think it's coming back.

Here's the symptoms I have...

I'm constantly checking to see if the doors are locked.

If I think something bad while my hand is touching my head, I have to wash my hand so the bad thought doesn't stay on it.

When I inhale I take the air from one part of the room but when I exhale I have to look in a completly different direction.

And when I go to plug something in, I plug it in then take it right back out then I plug it in again. Then I do it again.

Everything has to be in 3's.

what do you think...

Is my OCD coming back?

My husbands family likes to treat him like crap on the phone. pretending they cant hear so everytime he starts to speak they say hello hello boooodie..... etc. anyhow. they always start an arguement with him i told him not to bother anymore but it is his family and i respect that. but today he was talking to his sisterinlaw about the previous nights call. she said because bodie turned off his phone that when he called next time to not answer the phone. i said well they dont hardly ever answer it anyhow. speakerphone oops well she started calling me names and said i dont know this family and that i need to mind my own business but it is my business because it upsets my husband who has been thru alot of abuse at their hands. anyways i got blamed for the argument after it was "my fault" but how many times do i have to listen to the same thing? they treat him like crap he gets mad hangs up and then i have to make sure he doesnt flip out. and we end up argueing. so what can i do?
