I got rid of my TV about 5 years ago now, and I haven't looked back. To me television is nothing but a control box that tells you what to do, what to think, how to behave and if you don't look a certain way you are nothing but a loser. I say, for your own health and happiness, get RID of your television. Nurture the greatness that you will find in your own unobstructed natural mind. I have become so much more creative and productive and heathier. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you.

No, I have never considered that. I don't watch alot of tv anyway but it is also a great sourse of information and you can turn it off and on as you choose.

I don't own a television, nor have I ever personally owned a television.

When I was in college I watched tv in the dorm and my life was not destroyed, and when I was still living with my parents I watched television on their screen and I was not destroyed, and one time when I was living in a hotel on a long term rental agreement I watched television and I wasn't destroyed.

Currently I live in an apartment by myself and I don't own a television. When I have lived with roommates, generally it has been in remote places where you couldn't get reception and so you couldn't watch television anyway.

Television is a distraction from the monotony or distress of life.

It can also just be something to keep you entertained when there is nothing to do or if you can't sleep at night.

Television never destroyed anybody, although I am not saying that it ever did anybody any good either.

People make a big thing out of giving up tv, but if it is a big thing I believe that reflects a deeper problem. (I won't take the time here to go into that.)

I can have television or not have television, I will fill up my time regardless and my creativity doesn't suffer because of television.

I am indifferent to the tube. But I don't think it is a cancer.

HEEELLLLL to the NAW!!! Just kidding, that's actually a good idea. There's so much one could be enjoying during that time. I would just want to watch the news. But it is great to have for times when you just want to watch some. I wouldn't get rid of it, I'd just watch it every once in a while, you know? It's kind of boring to go over someone's house that doesn't have a t.v... you must not have a lot of guests, huh? lol, j/k...
