First of all you're much too young to be so absorbed in the eventuality of death. Yes, it's going to come one day and the best way to deal with death is to live. Whatever time you spend on contemplating death is time wasted not living in which case you have already given up on life and I doubt that's true for you. So, be busy with life and leave death for another day, like putting off yard work or cleaning house or some other thing you just would rather put off. As for life after, there has to be more to follow otherwise why would so many people be putting their faith in their Gods. Einstein believed that the human mind was pure energy which is held captive in a complex but limited cage, being the human body. Once freed of the human body that energy would be like any other form of energy and seek a new path in which to utilize itself or be utilized. I think he was on the right track myself.

I know exactly how you feel. I no longer have this problem but have spent recent years feeling this way all of the time. Its exhausting! I really don't know what to tell you. It took time for me to get over it. I think the first question you should ask yourself is, am I happy with my life? look at your health, the people who care about you, and how generally happy you are. The second thing you have to ask yourself is, What happens after I die? This one was hard for me because I didn't want to imagine me dead. This doesn't help for everyone but it sure did help me out. I gained faith in God, not everyone can do that but it helped me to not be scared of death as much. You have to read one book that I know will help you. The name of the book is Embraced by the light, by Betty Edie, its based on a true story. Also you should watch the movie City of Angels, they present good questions in that movie that make you feel like there is something else out there and that somehow it wont be so bad when you die. Please try these things they helped a lot for me and you wont be healthy much longer if you keep worrying. You can do it!

You will live after death. Your life has been a preparation for it. You were made by your Creator for endless life and this earth is like a cocoon. This real life begins with birth into spirit which you are calling death, (which is the shedding of the old body you wore out).
Suggest you do 2 things:
1. Dare pray to your Creator who Created you,use no false deity names, such prayers go astray. Ask to be led to truth and light.
2. When you can, buy yourself a book titled Oahspe. It will cost twenty something or other plus postage. It will be one of the new paperbacks published, white cover with gold print. Was published by Edwards Brothers, 2500 South State Street, Ann Arbor Mi 48104. Ask how to buy. Or use phone 800 669-8322 They sell cases of them; am just not sure they sell a single copy but they will tell you something. . Or talk to people who order for any book store., in your locality.Read the book from beginning to end. You ask if spirits have been sighted. Yes but not by all.

Your wasting your time stressing about this. Hey I'm scared too but I'm not trying to lose sleep over it. I was a cna and I had to clean three dead body's. When you think about it every one dies so you might as well live your life to the fullest so that why when it does happen you won't have any thing to regret. This probably doesn't help you but I hope you get some sleep soon.

At one time I was scared of dieing and I guess if I had to face death today then I wouldn't be very happy, but I have found that since I turned my life over to Jesus, I really don't worry anymore.
Only God knows when you will die and if you belong to him then you can have peace about the after life and death. I hope his helped.
As far as spirits---there are spirits of good and evil all around us, they are in the spiritual realm and normally we cannot see them, but they are there.
God said in his word that satan is the auther of confussion, and he is a liar. Most times satan will bombard you with things that make us worry (like death) and other things.....again turn life over to Jesus and let him do the worring for you....
My yoke is easy and burdon is light---turn to him today

Actually, your feelings are not so strange. I was out with a group of ladies aged from 40 to 52 and we were discussing how you feel . Out of 6 of us 3 of us had fears of dying. Whether there is a after life , well I am not sure about that. But like I said what you are feeling is normal I think. Try not to dwell over it or you will go mad.
Take care.

I take students to autopsies twice / week and have a Surgical Tech student that freezes up every now and then.
Generally I can find a way to show them how to face reality about death and dieing. We are all scientists and I don't know anyone in my field that believes in spirits or ghosts. At least they are not admitting it.

As an atheist I can tell you there is nothing to be afraid of. Was there anything to fear before you were born. I don't think so. Religions have tried to instill fear of death in people in order to control them. When you realize death is just like going to sleep at night, you will regain the control you have been robbed of.

I believe in reincarnation, but that's not the point here.
Sounds like you have a genuine phobia going on here. Maybe check out some books on phobias and how to deal with them, or maybe talk to a therapist.
A lot of people fear death, but not like this. It shouldn't affect your life. ESPECIALLY your sleeping!
Hope this helps.

I am a Christan, and yes there is another life, and I look forward to seeing my past family members and meet Jesus and God. Try to sleep because that only stresses out your physically and mentally. Try to enjoy the little things and the big , think positive. God bless.
