Actually NOTHING feels it.
What I mean by this is that pain is an illusion but a, well, PAINFUL one. lol
The nerve-endings take the signals along to the Brain (which has NO ABILITY to feel pain, only pressure) and the brain uses chemicals to impart the "feeling" of pain to us. However, it is not "true" pain, its just chemicals locked into receptors that "simulate" what pain should feel like. (I know, I know, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck . . . ) but its still not PAIN. Just a sembalance. That's why medication, spinal-blocks and drugs are able to "block" pain, because it IS all in our heads, even though we feel our bodies are in HELL.

There is a local inflammatory reaction and an emotional reaction. People with certain cerebral lesions have been noted to describe a sensation as pain, but in a very matter-of-fact manner as if they were describing a color. Everything changes if the emotional component is removed.

I believe that if you feel pain, you have an active nerve ending that is sending the pain signal to your brain. If you do not have an active nerve ending you will not feel pain. Example: paraplegic will not feel their feet burned by scalding water, but definitely would feel pain if their face was burned.

it depends what type of pain. if you have lost a loved one, its spiritual pain. If you are physically hurt all of you feels it becouse one pain can contribute to one another. When you scrape your knee it hurts physically and mentally becouse the information goes to your head and tell you youre hurt and then you cry which
is spiritually/mentally hurt.

I would assume that if you hurt a body part it is your brain that tells your body it hurts
