Yesterday, the weather was scorchingly hot and bright and I was in a terrible mood, as were the days before that it was bright and hot. But today, it's cold and the sun is being blocked by a few clouds and I feel great and chipper like I did in the winter months. Why?

My husband has schizophrenia and I've been really depressed. After his last hospitalization my grandpa died and I was the only one who couldn't go to the funeral. We were very close. Now I've met somebody and am having an affair, starting to hang out in bars and flirt with strange guys and am just a mess and ignoring my three children. I guess a LCS is a social worker, so would the psychologist be better for me or the LCS? Also any preferences on a female seeing a female or male?

I am dating a guy who is mildly depressed. I have never done this before. Usually the guy will ask me out on dates, etc. However, my boyfriend is shy and gets depressed. Is it okay to call him and invite him out? I love being with him. But I also don't want to come across as a nag or as someone who just wont leave him alone. What should I do?

i've had depression issues for probably the majority of my life, drugs have helped a bit, raising my status from going insane to not quite going insane, but obviously i'd like to improve more. so let me know if you've had ECT.

Done therapy via email? I've recently found some...unlimited correspondance for $168 every two weeks. I express myself better in writing, so I think it looks interesting.

Any thoughts? does it actually work?

I am so depressed lately. I have anxiety disorder, don't go anywhere, have no desire to. I can't sleep right, end up waking up with panic attacks. I have no job, can't seem to find one. My doc has switched my meds three times and nothing seems to work. I am gaining weight cuz I am so depressed and it just adds to it. I am tired all of the time, have no energy, don't really care about my appearance as much anymore. What should I do? Anyone, please, can you try to cheer me up??

a very dear friend of mine has what we can only assume (and have the justification of a third party with psych training) are slightly schizoidal tendencies. he goes through periods where he is dysfunctional as a person, and another friend is staying with him over the summer. due to past circumstances, he won't go talk with our parish priest, or several other people we've recommended, nor will he take medication. what is there that we can do-- what other options do we have? keep in mind, he's not a danger to himself or anyone else, but we hate to see him this way (upset, scared, "seeing things", going through periods of dysfunction, etc.)

I am afraid drowning and heights and therefore terrified of bridges. Also, despite my religious beliefs I am really afraid of death. My daughter turn two yesterday and on days like that I can't help but spend a few minutes thinking that I'm just one step closer to death. My husband is not really afraid of anything, so he has a hard time understanding. It's getting to the point that a lot of my good days are lessened by a few moments of these thoughts, and my anxiety makes me very negative at times. I don't want these feelings to ruin my happiness or others around me in the future. Please help.

I have been shot through the head by police twice and left for dead. Because of a compounding of sick "rulings" no doctor will dare directly oppose such police practices, such as admit that there is evidence of a pattern of such police practices. I understand that to do so would violate section 555 of the Maine State Criminal Code and the ruling of Emmons -v- Peet (Maine 1997?) as well as the silly finding of the forensics department regarding defining the role of public dollars as solely usable for prosecution and never to supply potentially exculpatory evidence (I was between shootings accused of simple assault and held for over a year without trial, but as the "case against me" was not dismissed with prejudice ...). I am connected to US arms manufacturers; those police that fired the pistols are connected to foreign competitors. Is there an agency working in the US today that opposes foreign domination of US security? As public funds are unusable for justice do private funds exist?
