I won't take it after this. I've been dealing with the pain all day, but I thought I might take it before bed to help me sleep, and now the pain is still here and I'm trying not to be sick.

:(

Occassionally I get really sudden spots of I guess I wouldn't necessarily call them pain but it feels kind of unpleasant in my chest area, usually around my heart area...they always go away after a few minutes and I was just wondering if something like this is normal...I have no other side effects at all unless my anxiety kicks in from time to time if I really start to worry about it. But I'm also thinking that when I get a pain spot on the other side of my chest or even anywhere else on my body it doesnt worry me at all. So Im just wondering if it is at all possible to have a pain in your chest area and it be nothing at all.

I am starting a petition to ban pain clinic doctors from prescribing deadly combinations of medication such as methadone and oxyconton or methadone and xanax. These so called patients go in, pay a fee, get their scrips and are on there way. Then they sell them to people to make money for their next visit. So many people are dying from these combinations. How many names would I need to get and where would I send it to?

Thursday evening I had came home not feeling well from work , Layed down for a bit , woke up scared to death , I couldn't hardly talk , I couldn't see out my left eye and had no feeling in my left Side. My husband rushed me to the ER , wich they put me at a 10 on the stroke scale until they did a angio on my brain to make sure there wasn't any blockages , which there wasn't but ,they still said I need a MRI and to see a Neurologist , They gave me a shot of Morphine ,it seemed to help a little bit with the Migrain, But I went back to work yesterday morning ,OMG i felt sick my head was rocking with pain , SO I went strait back tot he ER, I had lost sight in ,my left eye again and the pain was unbarable ,they gave me a shot of Dilaudid . But the doctor told me that with such severe Migrains, I could permenantly lose my sight in my left eye. Im scared , and don't know what to do or what to believe. I went to my dads and slep off the drug , and the pain was still there. Any advice ?

I have been in pain from a large herniated cisk in my cervical for about 2 years now due to an auto accident. I have had mris, physical therapy, accupuncture, cortizone shots, and facet blocks. All with no releif. I was sent to a neurosergeon by my spinal surgeon. He says that i dont need surgery unless i can't move my legs or if i can't control my bowels.so what do i do now? The large herniated disc is pressing on my nerve canal and is causing great pain at times. Has anyone out there experienced anything like this? HELP

There are ways to rid the body of pain besides medicine. For example, nausea can be reduced by pressing on ones wrist and headaches can be stopped using self hypnosis/meditation. What other ways are there to relieve unwanted pain.

Okay, well I have a debate about the legalization of marijuana in class after the break, and I'm on the side that says it should remain illegal. Now I know that the opposition will talk about medical marijuana and how it helps ease the pain. What can I say about that? I mean, what are other things patients can use INSTEAD of marijuana to ease their pain?

I've been considering physical therapy as a career but someone told me that physical therapists have to do a lot of feeling/touching people? Is that true? I know you help people move but how much do you have to touch? Where?

Ok. On my long spine right on the very far end bottom of the spine tail feels like a little tiny ball when i touch it.. When i touch that litle lump ball it hurts like burning feeling. When i finger that the little tiny lump ball would move side by side under the tipe end of the spine. (no the bone isnt broken) i just feel a strange little round ball lump that is seating right under the middle of the tip end of thespine tail. I look to see if there are any redness or lumps or such and it seems to be nothing showing on my skin at all.. Just looks normal.

So i presume the little tiny lump is really deep inside the inside skin. When i seat down it burns but depends how i seat down it wont hurt but if i wobble my bum when im seating that little tiny small lump ball would move side by side under that tip end of the spine tail... and when i try stand up it kills me with burn sensation on that small ball lump. but suddently it stops hurting when im allready standing. What could it be?

i have tried almost everything. The one that works for me a little is Advil. is there anything stronger.

My back is sensative to the touch due to having Shingles 14 years ago. My Shingles after healing turned into Post Herapetic Neuralgia (nerve pain). Extremely painful all these years and nothing helps. I even tried the patches for pain and nothing. It feels like my back is swollen all the time.

I was straightening my hair, and my hand moved up too far and hit my straightener, burning a good portion of my right hand pointer finger. I now have a big purple raised mark up the side of my finger. I can't extend my finger all the way. What can I do for the pain? I ran it under cool water, but it only helped for a minute. We don't have any aloe or burn gel. Will you kiss it?

I am currently 23. This first started when I was 20. I came home one night from drinkin' with friends, and started vomiting and couldnt stop for a week, ended up in the hospital 3 times for dehydration. So, I figured, Since I COULDNT take that kind of pain, I would stop drinking. I did.
About a year later the same thing happened, I woke up one morning, and just couldnt stop vomiting, for a week, couldnt hold ANYTHING down, not water, not anything. I did not have ANY alcohol this time. I ended up in the hospital again. This happened about 5 times now. (I'm currently in the 4th day this time), WHY THE HELL IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME??
I've been to my doctors who has checked for ulcers and whatnot. He did find a small cyst in my stomach but said it shouldn't be a problem unless it starts to bleed (in which case I'd know because I would be vomiting blood, which im not).. So please, for the love of God can someone HELP me?
Other then this vomiting business, I am totally healthy. THANKS!

I fell Oct 17 and hurt my wrist. The radiologist read my MRI and thought it was Osteo Edema with possible Keinbocks Disease. The nurse misread the reporrt and told me I also had a broken wrist. I have been going to occupational therapy as per my doctor. I have regained like 5 degrees flexiablilty.

But I AM STILL IN PAIN. Around the wrist. Around the thumb. And down the forearm...including hot pain down the outsides of the forearm.

All the bone doctors in my one horse town have given up on me. I think it may be time to go to a neurologist. They are suggesting a wrist specialist.

So from what all I said...can you tell what might be wrong with it?

I'm not going to see a doctor until after the holidays.

I was in a very severe car accident when I was 15. I was thrown from the car going a good amount of speed.
My doctors never found any injuries to my back, neck, or shoulders (aside from torn R rotator cuff), but I have had severe back/neck/shoulder pain since my accident.
I have been on pain meds. (Norco 10-325- 2 pills 3 times a day, and 600MG of Neurontin 3 times a day) since then.
It does treat the pain, but obviously doesn't get rid of it.
I go to a Chiropractor, which helps, but also isn't a permanant solution.
I have had physical therapy, but it never helped.

I am sick of having to rely on pills to make me able to get through a day, and my doctor wants to soon start to slowly decrease the amounts, until I have completely stopped taking them.
I am fine with not taking any meds., but the problem is: the pain is still going to be there, and I can't bear it without some type of treatment.

What other options, aside from these above, are there?
That are more long-term?
