Pain & Pain Management - September 2006

I had an operation on Thursday and in recovery they told me that I had a drug which was stronger than Morphine to help with the pain. They told me the name but I was too out of it to remember it. Does anyone know what it could be called?

It's terrible so painful it's unbelieveable sometimes, a hot water bottle on the back of my leg worked last night but it's still twitching and trying to go in to spasm today, any ideas on what causes it? how to stop it?

For a few years I've heard a popping/grinding sound in my knees when I squat down and stand back up around the knee cap area. But just recently I started feeling a little pain just below my right knee cap, and I don't want to wear down my knees or hurt them even more. Does anyone know what this is, or how to prevent the wearing of the knees?

one year ago i've been suffering from it, it stopped for 2 monthes after a Shiatsu session but now i don't want to repeat it because migraines came back, though they came back less (once a week) but i don't want to feel that i need a session every now and then.

i dream twice every night and someone (in a dream) told me that i need to stop so much thinking because this could be the reason of the migraines, another one asked me to stop eating chocolate ...
i know it sounds funny but this is the truth

Im 20 and i ache all the time my bones hurt and just ache all over.
My doctor just gives me anti depresents but i do not take because tthey make me like a zombi. and the doctor says bones dont hurt???? haha. Any idea why im having so much pain ??

I have what my doctor calls ' Classic Migraines'. I usually have one about every 2 weeks but it also can happed if I have any sort of tap or bump in the back of my head. I've been taking a doctor prescribed Maxalt but when ever i do take it all it does is make me nausous. Are there arny other ways I can prevent this pain?

My pharmacist and I really got into it today. He accused me of making a fake prescription or forging one. I asked him why but he wouldnt say. He told me he couldnt verify it because it was after hours. He wanted to keep it and hold it till monday when my doc is in. I have never had trouble before and would never do that. I figured out on my own that the new rx sheets dont have the companys name/logo on them, triple i. I even made a copy on my copy/printer to see if it would say void and it didnt. What is up with the pharmacist? The medication is 10mg lortab and I have been getting it from the same doc and pharmacy for 7 months. The crazy thing is, my cousin was there with me, he see's the same doc and pharmacist. What irritated me was the fact that he didnt question my cousin and he takes oxycontin 80mg, #90 month. . I guess I am angry because of the aggravation. What good is the words triple i, does it look different under black light. I wonder if the doctor wrote the rx on copies

The Dr. says that I may have chronic pain disorder, but he is testing me for a pinched nerve first, I'll know for sure on the 27th.. I was just wonderin if anybody can explain to me if they have chronic pain disorder, how it was diagnosed, and how the pain management is coming along??
