My pharmacist and I really got into it today. He accused me of making a fake prescription or forging one. I asked him why but he wouldnt say. He told me he couldnt verify it because it was after hours. He wanted to keep it and hold it till monday when my doc is in. I have never had trouble before and would never do that. I figured out on my own that the new rx sheets dont have the companys name/logo on them, triple i. I even made a copy on my copy/printer to see if it would say void and it didnt. What is up with the pharmacist? The medication is 10mg lortab and I have been getting it from the same doc and pharmacy for 7 months. The crazy thing is, my cousin was there with me, he see's the same doc and pharmacist. What irritated me was the fact that he didnt question my cousin and he takes oxycontin 80mg, #90 month. . I guess I am angry because of the aggravation. What good is the words triple i, does it look different under black light. I wonder if the doctor wrote the rx on copies

I hate to bust your bubble, but the "triple" you are talking about is a form. One goes to the pharmacist..one stays with the doc..one goes to DEA. Lortab is NOT at that level in being a controlled. It IS a controlled substance. Are you making copies of new or blank prescription pads? For someone to have gone to the lengths you have..copier...black lights...I would be HIGHLY suspicious of filling a prescription for you. If in fact, you are or have forged this document. You better just take the loss..You havent been arrested. If you go back, and it IS a forgery, most likely police will become involved. If it is NOT forged..Why didnt YOU call your doctor? This drug, Lortab, is one that CAN be called in by the doctor. I think you have somehow gotten hold of the prescription pad that IS used for certain level control drugs..wrote the Lortab on it..and the pharmacist, knowing this was NOT the right type of pad for it to be written on...is ON TO YOU. I am.

The pharmacist did what is correct and apt to do. If the script looks odd, go back to the doctor and verify. Lortab is a schedule 3 narcotic. There are many people who try and write their own narcotic prescriptions. In certain states, prescription pad paper has unique markers in it.

Try and relax. Yes this is one of life's little agrovations but you will just spoil your day/week if you dwell on the matter. Do something nice and call back for your prescription when advised. When there just ask politely if they could apologise for calling you a cheat, as clearly they well then know they were wrong.

you said that you "made a copy" on your printer to see if it would say void. I've been a pharmacist for 18 years......and my 'BS' sensors are going off.
