I have always had 'lowish' blood pressure, being around 110/66, but since having my son a year ago, it is always around the 100/62, and can drop low in the 90's. I find I feel tired all the time, and nauseas at times and find it really hard to get moving. Does anyone know if this could have anything to do with it?

I don't know why, but every night since one week ago this has been happening to me. Every night I woke up at least one time in the middle of the night ( sometimes 2am, sometimes 4am), at random times. Also, I have been having really weird dreams and horrible nightmares and I don't really know why. Why is this happening and how can I make it stop?

I got my nose pierced a month ago, and it is not healed yet. I'm wearing a nose screw which ends with a half circle, so I think it would be hard to take it out, and would cause scarring, infection or irritation. Even when it is completely healed, is it necessary to take it out to clean it, for hygiene purposes? I don't feel good about taking it out because it seems hard and could hurt my nose, and I don't really need to change my nose piercing for another one since I like the one I'm wearing.

The arguement that is usually presented is that it takes too long to see a doctor under any health care plan. It may take 2 or 3 days. But, at the end of those 2-3 days, those 47 million Americans, who would not have been seen at all, would eventually have some hope at seeing a physician.

I have seen people in crowded elevators, public transportation during rush hour, patrons in cafeteria's during lunch time, etc., sneeze and cough during the winter months and often wondered if they have anything I should concern myself about that will impair my health when I am seated/standing next to them because they don't have a health care plan to have that sneeze or cough checked out.

Are you satisfied with the curent health care provided by private insurance companies?

Would you favor a national health care system for everyone?

It may be cheaper than the existing system because it would free up the payroll deduction and put that money in your pocket and not go to private insurance.

I ask for a Medical professional because my hubby won't believe any answer that is not from a professional.
OR, if you can provide a link that has PROFESSIONAL answers on it, that would be great too...
Our disagreement is this...
Does alcohol make your temperature go up or down?

Hubby says alcohol is a great cooling agent...
If that's so, then why is it anytime I drink alcohol it rises my temperature?

Make sense? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
And please, I am serious about this, so please be nice, kind & clean with your answers... or don't answer at all!

Thank you, LH99 :o)

Hi,
First I wanted to thank people who replied last time I asked this- I am still stuck in the same place so thought why not ask again, see if anyone has any ideas at all!

Heres the problem:
I am 26, I have a history of anorexia and bulima though am at the moment (and have been for several months) a healthy weight. (Body mass index is 20)
I have been having night sweats for years now, I dont get them at a low weight (Body mass index of less than 17) but even though my weight is stable now, I still get them.

I am often too worked up to sleep now, I can stay up all night (and yes I do get very tierd) as I cant take waking up and being so wet- seriously were talking about wringing out clothes here or comming to do laundry two days later and still finding my bed clothes and sheets wet.
not damp. wet.

I get them every night. Each time is around 4 to 6 am. I donot take any pills -aside from seroxat first thing in the morning at 8am. I go to the gym 3Xs a week 1+ hours a time.

OK so people say it's bad other say it doesn't hurt. My sleeping problems started when I had my old job. They'd make me stay till after midnight and i wouldn't get home till like 1am. Of course i didn't go right to bed. Sometimes i wouldn't go to bed at all! I decided to take something over the counter. I found this thing called SIMPLY SLEEP. I liked it, it's so mild no side effects at all that I noticed. I stated taking it every night though to sleep and I have been taking it for months even though I don't even work at that job anymore. Now if I skip it even one night I have a bad sleep and feel sick. I am probably addicted. I don't mind as long as it can't hurt me! I know people who take worse pills every single day! People in my family that have arthritis and they take tylonyol arthritis daily which is a very strong form of the drug! This is just the stuff like they put in dramamine (motion sickness meds). Am I really hurting myself if I keep taking it??

The other day after my calculus class, I stood up and streached. It was as usual, my vision went black and I got kinda dizzy, I guess from my blood rushing to my legs after their not being used in the past hour or so. But this time it lasted longer and kinda fell headfirst into the desk, just barely catching myself groping around in the dark reaching for something to break my fall. I was dizzier than usual and it felt like i was floating and could hardly control my body.

Is this something that I should be worried about?

This has happened 3 or 4 times in the past month and I am getting concerned. I wake up in the middle of the night, coughing. I end up vomitting, but not a whole lot, (sorry to be so descriptive) but about a mouthful. It is pinkish in color, no matter what I ate previously. I have no warning when I go to sleep that it is going to happen. Sometimes it is within an hour after I go to sleep, other times it is hours. Please help. What can I do to alivate this. Right now, it is 5 in the morning and it just happened. All of this is accompanied by burning in my throat, but no heart burn. I tried taking some Pepto, rinsing my mouth out, and smoking a cigarette. My throat still burns as if someone poured acid in it.

For a few years now, I have become an unsound sleeper. I've thought about going to a doctor, but for some reason can't bring myself to mention it when I go in for my physicals. Without OTC sleeping pills, I would be up all night--- if I'm lucky, I'd get 2-3 hours of sleep without and pills. Obviously, I know I need to speak to my doctor about this, but what tips do you have, especially those of you who might be/may have been in this situation before?
