I have only visited my GP three times in two years, for what I considered to be for a real health problem. Each time that I have been I have been fobbed off and made to feel like a fraud. Is it just a funding thing, that they wont refer you on. How ill do you have to be? My existing health problems still have not gone away. Do you think I should change Doctors or are they all the same?

Apparently some of us have this bacteria living on us and it usually cases no problems. But in some it can multiply or enter wounds to give you the potentially fatal TSS.

(" It can be caused by one of two different types of bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes ")

I know/don't care how rare it is so please don't reply telling me that. I just want to find out if I have the bacteria so I can make an informed decision on something.

Maybe some sort of swab?? By the way I mean testing under regular circumstances, not when you think you're infected/ill from it.

About 4 weeks ago I was admitted to hospital with hypertension and prescribed appropriate medication to bring it down. My pulse rate has certainly improved and general 'facial flushing' has reduced. However, on checking with the Dr today, it is now at 180/120 (both arms, and after a 'rest' period). I am returning on Monday for blood tests, but am concerned that because of my age, 37, the condition is not being treated as aggressively as if i was an obese 50yr old. Am I right to be concerned or should I just keep quiet and take the pills?
