i believe you are misusing the term since blood borne is used to specify pathogens that are NORMALLY transmitted through blood contact - it does not mean that they CANNOT be transmitted in other ways

Yes, blood borne is blood to blood. It can be transmitted through sex, which is rare but happens. The big one is sharing needles with other people while using drugs. And of course if in the medical field if you are exposed by a poke or incorrect usage of materials.
