Does anyone here have or know someone with OCD. I believe I have it and was wondering if anyone out there has "managed" it without medication? What did you do? Please don't send me to a website because I've been to them. Just looking for some personal experiences of someone who overcame, or (slowed down if you will) There OCD. My biggest problem is that I feel if I don't do certain rituals (if you have OCD you know what I am talking about) that someone in my life will be hurt. Obviously I know this won't happen, but I still have trouble controlling it (just in case ya' know) Serious answers only please. Thanks for your help....

I just moved out, but I am still on my parent's health insurance until the end of the year. Can they see when I've been to the doctor and what prescriptions I've received? Can they see this through the insurance company? I am only asking because my dentist leaked info to them about my teeth. Teeth aren't a big deal, but I don't need them to know every time I go to the doctor or get a prescription.

No other symptoms, just headache, high fever and elevated ketones. She is tired with no appetite, but the doctor seems unconcerned. I keep seeing diabetes everywhere I look, but fever is not associated with it. Has anybody else had experience with this situation? Should we get a second opinion?

I initially thought this was a side effect of my acid reflux because I first noticed it during a bad AR episode, but now I'm not sure. Somewhat often, my (usually left) oblique will tense up so hard that it feels like a bone, and nearby abdominal muscles tighten up too. It becomes painful because the muscles press against my rib cage, irritating them. This is sometimes accompanied by a feeling of numbness on the left side of my belly, and even a sort of itchy internal feeling that I think might be intestinal. It does seem to be irritated by a lot of the same things that the reflux is, but I have been getting it even when reflux isn't flaring up. Sometimes if I press against the swelling areas, pain shoots down my arm, particularly the underside of the wrist.

I have read a lot of good things about being an OT. But before I choose it as a career, I want to know the bad things as well. What may be some drawbacks of the job?

I need a shoe that supports my arches and my whole foot.
I love canvas shoes, but they have no support whatsoever.
I'm guessing vans are bad too?
I heard dc shoes are pretty comfortable..
any ideas would be great.
thanks.

A couple of months ago, I noticed a strange lump on my hand.It sits an inch from my wrist, and it is between my pointer and middle fingers. I believe it appeared overnight. It feels as hard as bone; however, I am certain that isn't. I have no pain associated with it. Anyone have educated guesses? P.S. I will visit the doctor soon.

She has loss of appetite. NOT pregnant. Ultra-sound today is negative. First indications are this might be a gall bladder problem. Pain is currently in middle of stomach, just below rib cage, around the solar plex. Any suggestions and solutions.

I am 53 yrs old & distinctly remember the red, yellow, green patterns I saw as a child when I closed my eyes at night to sleep. About 20 yrs ago I read an article that addressed this & was shocked to find that someone else had experienced the same thing. Regretfully, I did not save it. Have you ever heard of this? As a child, I thought everyone saw the same thing, but learned much later that this was not so. After 50 years, I still can remember the colorful images. No, I'm not delusional. I'm serious.

When I woke up three days ago while getting up my whole right leg calf cramped up and hurt so bad that I couldn't even move. Once I was able to stand on it the crampness went away but not the pain. Both my feet have been doing the same thing for sometime now. I don't know what could cause either of these problems or if they have to do with each other
