I should've asked this question! Yesterday I had a killer migrane from prolonged lack of sleep. I live in an apartment building and the people who live above me are loud at all hours. I have ear plugs that help a bit. I also sleep with the T.V on to drown out the noise. Your issue may be stress related. I know worrying and having a lot on your mind can keep you from sleeping well. I'd try making sure the temperature is okay in your room. If it's too hot or cold it can disturb sleep. Make sure that your windows are covered so that sun light can't get in the room. That tricks your brain into thinking that it's day. I take a warm shower for bed to help relax me. I've also heard that if you are stressed out, try writing about it in a journal before bed to get your thoughts out. Also don't drink beverages with caffeine and don't exercise too close to bed time.

Well, if you are not stressed or anxious about something, then u should be able to learn pretty decent. Just make sure you sleep certain amount of hrs to keep u rested during the day, like probably not less than 6hrs of sleep. Also if you go to bed at a reasonable time is a lot better.

Melatonin is one of the best things I've found that helps me sleep better. I've suffered with insomnia for most of my life and my friend suggested Melatonin to me and I've been a firm believer in it ever since.
I take 3mg of Melatonin when I can't sleep. In 10 minutes I'm so sleepy I can't hardly hold my head up and when I finally get to sleep, I sleep for 8hours and wake up without any side effects.
You can get it at your local health food/drug store, it's nonhabit forming and it's natural.

I always believe that a quality sleep starts from a quality bed/pillow. Choose the matresses & pillows that really suit you.
Have a cup of milk before you sleep. Listen to some spa music.
