My sister has had 2 back surgeries. This one has been very rough on her to recover from. Her doctor said she would not be able to return to work. She has been turned down twice for her disability. After the 3rd time, the soc. sec. worker told her she would have to go to an informal hearing. My question is: after the informal hearing can she then get an attorney or does she needs to enlist one now? With the 2nd denial, the doctor who did her surgery has still not been contacted to be put in her file. She has turned everything in to the soc. sec. office. We didn't want to get an attorney if it wasn't necessary. I am hoping some of you people can give me some information on how this works. Attorney now or after the informal hearing?

I'm interested in providing care in my home for a disabled or elderly person. I have a large bedroom w/bathroom in my home for the right individual. I've been certified but let it expire after I left working in convalescent home several years ago. More recently I have, in my home, taken care of a disabled elderly man (6 years) until he passed & a quadriplegic for a much shorter time. I'm ready to provide for the right person and would like suggestions on where/how to find that person. (The two mentioned came to me by "word of mouth" "friend of friend")

I worked with a physician 9 months in Ghana who has relatives who are physicians in the United States. It has been years since they were in touch and he ask me to try to locate them if I could. I will go ahead and post the names: Dr. Kwabena Kwarteng & Dr. Osafo Addo. Any suggestions very appreciated.

In general, what sleeping positions are the most beneficial to your health? And why?

Furthermore, does putting a thin, foam mattress on the floor, and sleeping on it, is it an improvement over sleeping on a regular mattress/bed? I ask because the mattress I'm sleeping on doesn't seem to be rigid enough to support my back.

Or maybe it's better if it's softer?

Thanks.

I am somehow hurt my wrist and I am neasiated and dizzy and I want to get it checked out, but I am scared to tell my dad (who is also my caregiver) that I want to go get checked AGAIN. I am 27 years old and always in & out of the ER. Should I tough it out? Or should I go in? I don't want to pass out, which has happened before..... I am scared...
