Mostly water are treated before sent for use.In some area its safe to drink but the physical properties shows water get containment quickly and babies are not immune to virus so always boil water before any use and when water strat boiling ,keep boiling for one minute to kill bacteria, dont boil more than that time otherwise u will loose many minerals and compounds which are reqiured for baby or human .

Boiled water is no safer than tap water. Boiled water doesn't remove all the impurities from the tap.

You can buy bottled water or a filter. PUR & Britta both make a filter system to go onto the sink faucet & have filtered pitchers too. I have a slender filtered pitcher with a spigot by PUR. My sink faucet wouldn't work with one for it so this was my best option. The filters get rid of ALL the contaminents of the tap water for both PUR & Britta. I chose the PUR one as it had a spigot so my son can get the water himself without having to lift a heavy pitcher.

Bottled water by Evian, Figi or Dasani is best. All 3 have added minerals that are best for drinking. Arrowhead, Sparkletts & Aquafina are well water which has been purified, filtered & boiled. I have friends who've worked for all 3 companies & won't touch their bottled water. Filtered water in the machines outside stores or inside a Water Boy or other store is unsafe too. The machines aren't kept clean often & you can get infectious diarrheah from them or other ailments.

Well, I boiled the water for all my children-I wouldn't have dreamed of giving them unboiled water either. Bottles sterilized, rinsed with boiling water. Boiled and cooled water for baby formula milk-that's how I did it

I would suggest just using bottled water for baby formula. I would not reccomend using water right out of the tap because everything is not filtered out and depending where you live this could be harmful for the baby.

i would not use the water from the sink, if you have a fridge with a water filter then I would use that. If not then yes I would boil the water. I would rather be safe, Do you when you get a glass of water get it from the sink?

If it is straight from the tap, it should be boiled. However, it is easier just to buy bottled water and use that instead.
