I've worn bifocals for a few years and manage with them OK, but it I have to have separate glasses for the computer and it is a pain to change all the time. I've never had progressive lenses, so assume I know nothing about them. Some people seem to think they are terrible and some seem to think they are the best thing since apple pie. Any comments, suggestions, etc? Thanks.

Can anxiety (ive only been having attacks for 2 weeks) permantly cause a sickness or disease in your body or cause any other medical issues such as weaking the heart or lungs etc. or is that all in my head?

I got a sunburn yesterday at the beach and sleeping last night was very uncomfortable. Apparently, the sunscreen I applied didn't stick well (I was still wet) and it didn't work. Within 20 min., I turned into a Maine lobster.

My dad says taking a hot shower will take the sting out and numb the pain but I think that's a load of crap because when I take hot showers after a bad sunburn, it is extremely uncomfortable (but so is taking a freezing cold shower so I bathe in lukewarm H2O). Anyone have any good ideas? Cooling cream works only temporarily.

1. How difficult to be accepted and what are best schools in N.C.?
2. Which is more satisfying?
3. Which is more difficult curriculum?

I'm career shifting at 55, probably will need tutoring or less rushed curriculum for physiology memorization. Appreciate info on studies and working environment. Note: I am dumb. Learn much, much better with smaller classes and individual attention from teacher or study groups to keep motivated. Have old southern manners which means that I would not work well with rude, arrogant teachers, doctors, or coworkers. ( I have heard tales and been exposed to such, along with wonderful teachers, doc's and allied health workers). Please advise as to environment.

I would like to opt out of the NHS spine so that my personal details are not available to about 50,000 NHS staff all over the UK. I have not been asked for my consent for these details to transferred to the spine and I would like them removed. However, my GP surgery does not have any information on how patients can 'opt out'.

This is a general physiology question for some course work, not about specific surgery.

Apologies if this isn't spelt correctly - I took a wild stab!

What this means is that you automatically connect colours and images to words. For me (for example):

Monday is red
Tuesday is pale blue/grey
Wednesday is brown
Thursday is pale blue/grey
Friday is navy blue
Staturday is sky blue
Sunday is orange/yellow

What colours are your days of the week/months/people's names etc.

And if you thought that it was your own particular foible to do this you'll probably be pleased to hear that you have a reasonably rare (totally harmless) recognised medical "condition". You are one out of 2,500 people and you're probably female.

It's all to do with connections in your brain going the wrong way!
