Drink one tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar before you eat foods that give you heartburn. You get heartburn when your stomach produces extra acid, but if you put the vinegar in your stomach, there will be enough acidity in your stomach that your body won't overproduce. It's counter-intuitive but it really works!
Of course, if it doesn't help, you should see your doctor. Keep in mind you might just have frequent heartburn, not acid reflux, so don't go on a pill you have to take for the rest of your life unless you really have to!

Acid Reflux is caused by stomach acids escaping into the eosophagus from a weakness in the muscle that opens and closes. Prilosec is now an over the counter medication which is excellent for it. Avoid caffiene and decaffienated coffee. milk and there is a diet which lists food to avoid for treatment of acid reflux. Try googling it.

Elevating the head of your bed for one thing. Don't eat heavily before sleeping, avoid fatty, starchy foods, irritants like coffee and coke and highly spiced foods.
Better yet, go to a doctor so he can prescribe ranitidin, a gastroenterologist would be a good choice.
If you sing or use your voice as a way of life also to to an ear nose and throat doctor, acid reflux damages the vocal chords.

You should ask your doctor that and then come back and tell us because now you have us curious. I dream when I over eat (I no longer have acid reflux) so it seems reasonable to think that way.

I know this sounds horrible, but if it's so bad you'll do anything...eat a teaspoon of yellow mustard. I had to do this every day during the last 3 months of my pregnancy. It works. If you don't want to go that drastic, try milk or ice cream.

I believe it has to do with your diet, be aware of what you eat. Observe closely what you eat and avoid the food that causes the problem. Please drink at least 8 glasses of water a day...
