I've worn bifocals for a few years and manage with them OK, but it I have to have separate glasses for the computer and it is a pain to change all the time. I've never had progressive lenses, so assume I know nothing about them. Some people seem to think they are terrible and some seem to think they are the best thing since apple pie. Any comments, suggestions, etc? Thanks.

Of course, it would be wonderful if a pair of glasses with progressive lenses would get rid of the need for computer glasses. But I'm assuming that isn't the case. So my real question is whether progressives are better than bifocals without considering the issue of separate computer glasses. Thanks.
