I do not feel guilty about taking naps. Sleep, even a nap, helps enhance my own information processing and learning. A mid-day nap reverses information overload. Short naps (30 minutes to one hour) improve my stamina, and helps feign fatigue, irritation, frustration and poorer performance on mental tasks.

naps should be no longer than 40 mins, because your body will go into a deep sleep and then your sleepy the rest of the day. Plus a nap that is 20 mins long will give you a 2 hour boost! :) Happy Napping

My ideal nap is 2 hours sometimes 3. I don't know how some people can take 15 minute naps. It takes me 15 minutes to fall asleep.

For me, an ideal power nap is just about 30 seconds... if I really fall asleep. I know it sounds strange but it is somehow refreshing and yet does not take much time.

If you are referring to a power nap, would indicate you want to waken fresh and ready to go... should you nap more than 30 minutes, you awake in a rather groggy state.. 30 min or less allows you to waken quite alert.
