Lately I've been feeling sharp pains where it was repaired. This is noticable especially when I have been sitting for long periods of time. Not very often, I can feel it when I am standing, too. Walking doesn't seem to be a problem, but running or jogging is not an option. Could these be signs that something might make it rupture again? I am 50 years old. I don't think I could handle this twice. What can I do to prevent it from happening again?

a week ago i fell from a wall about 5 and a half feet high, and i landed just on one leg. my leg wasn't able to bend so i landed that high fall with one leg and not bending it, but now, a week later, it hurts when im not doing anything, but if i run or skate for 5 minutes than the pain goes away untill i stop the activity, once i stop if i wait a couple minutes then the pain gets REALLY bad. and i can't run after that. the lower right section of my right knee is what hurts, when i do feel the pain. what's wrong with my leg?? and how long will it take to heal??? i have track try outs on tuesday, will it be better by then???

the muscles in my hamstrings on the back of my knee are so weak I cant even stand for and extended period of time without straining tendons and ligaments. What is a way I can gradually begin to strengthen these muscles to prevent further injury?

Or is it okay to go down stairs really fast while holding sharp objects? If not, then shouldn't the saying be changed to "Don't run with scissors, or go down stairs really fast"? Should we change the saying?

I used to enjoy running. I played soccer for years. I then suffered a couple of accidents while I was in the Army. I injured my lower back and torn some ligaments and tendons in my feet. I need a good cardio exercise i can do that won't cause me any intense pain. Ive tried treadmills and stairsteppers and they hurt. Does anyone have any good ideas?

i have been driving a tractor trailer for the past 10 years and a few years ago i went to my doctor due to some severe shoulder pain and he told me that i had tendonitis my question is... is that even possible? i do alot of shifting through out the day and getting in and out of the truck alot during the day. when this problem first started it was in my right shoulder and now it is in my left shoulder during the winter months is when it tends to flare up sometimes its in my right shoulder and other times its in my left........ of course this time round its bugging me in both shoulders making it hard for me to work and drive my truck for a living... so again i ask is this possible for me to have tendonitis?

I'm really tall for my age...5'5'' 1/2, and I am 12. The only thing is that I can't touch my toes...whenever I stretch my legs to touch them it hurts. This isn't sudden or anything, I haven't been able to touch my toes since like 3rd grade. The only time I could was when i was like four and my legs were like right in front of me. Obviously this isn't normal...HELP!

Howdy! I'm having a serious problem with healing...for example: a small cat scratch on my hand will take over two weeks to fully heal. I know most people would heal from it in less than 24 hours. Also, I don't feel as rested as I should after sleeping. And I sleep enough, over 9 hours on average.

I didn't always use to be like this. In fact, I used to heal exceptionally quickly. Any help, info, or anything at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

My 2 year old fell on hardwood flooring and landed on his lip. There was bleeding and it did swell. After two days the swelling went down and it remained red. On the third day a blister covered the portion of the lip that was hurt and later that day it opened up and started bleeding. Over the next two days when I would wipe his mouth after eating it would bleed again. On the sixth day there was no more blood and it apeared to be looking better but today, the seventh day, his lip is very purple and looks worse. Should I be worried or was this just a really hard fall? He's banged his lip (and other such body parts) but none of those bruises have lasted a week or looked worse after a week. PLEASE NO RUDE COMMENTS!
