i had spinal surgery 2 years ago and am still having alot of pain .the doctor has released me from his care--with no pain meds and i take advil constantly--apparently he has never been pain -----and no where to turn for help

Saturday night and again last night I have woken up with an unbelievable pain in my mid section. I feels like my whole mid section is on fire and cramping up. It starts right under my rib cage and expands throughout my whole abdomine. Does anyone know what this might be? It lasts for approximatley 15 excruciating minutes and then it goes away. It is enough pain to wake me up and make me moan and groan in pain.

i work graveyard shift and im a stocker/cashier. i am on my feet 4 most of that time and have 2 lift boxes. im just wondering is that cuz i lift wrong and how can i make it not hurt so much/at all?? it makes it hard 2 sleep

I get migraines alot and Ive even had a ct scan when I was younger - about 10 years ago so I dont really remember it but I was younger about 16, anyway. I have smoked weed ofr the past 8-9 years and I only seem to get them when I haven't smoked in about a week. Do you think anything is signifigant here or am I just crazy

Hi,

For about 7 months now i have had intermittent pains/feelings on the left side of my chest and my left arm, and also on the bottom of my neck. I will try to explain the sensations. Sometimes my left arm feels as though there is a lot of pressure in my veins, and I also get a tingling sensation, like pins and needles.
This is usually accompanied by a tight feeling on the left side of my chest, similar to cramp and it also feels cold, and wet. I have also, recently been getting a strange wet feeling on the back of my neck, only on a very small patch of skin, it feels as though there are a few drips of water there??
I would go to my GP, but whenever i go to see him, with any problem he just fobs me off, and doesn’t actually listen to me properly. Has anyone experienced anything similar?? Sorry if my description is vague, its just hard to explain.
I’m 24, and in good general health, i do not do any kind of weights, so I have ruled muscles sprain out.

So my brothers wedding is Friday and I am the maid of honor! He has pink as well but he went to the dr and got meds but I don't have the time nor the money to go to the dr seeing how the wedding is in 4 days but dinner rehearsal is in 3.I have putting hot and cold rags on my eyes and using 2 over the counter meds one is Similasan (pink eye relief) and the other is Artificial Tears..Been doing those as often as I can.I got it last night!.If anybody has suggestions I would be ever so grateful! Thanks!

My son had to have stitches put in and his physican came to sit with him at the ER because he was very nervous and scared. He was not on call and just got back into town from a trip. Any suggestions of what we could do to Thank him besides the usual Thank You card? He will never know how much we appreciate this. He lit up as soon as he saw him walk into the room.

my online boyfriend upset me so bad in august I cried and holler so much to I either pulled muscle in my right eye or something its little more white now showing in that right eye and the bottom of the socket doesnt feel right or look the same.Yes I been to 3 eye doctors neither wants to correct it what should I do? Im paranoid about the way it looks and it doesnt feel good either its sore.I either pulled muscle as I said from crying so much or either stretch my socket crying and hollering.Yes I was crying cause still till today he ignores me for other women any advice about my eye?

Im such a klutz! I fell in a pothole in a parking lot and I have no insurance. I realize the hospital will treat me reguardless, but I dont want a $1000 bill for a sprain or a strain of my ankle. It is very, VERY swollen on the outside, around the little knobby bone that sticks out, and is brusing quite badly. My toes are a little tingly and have been going slightly numb for the last 24 hours (this happened very late Saturday night). Im just wondering if anyone knows the physcial feelings that are different between a sprain, a strain and a fracture? I dont think its broken because, even though its very painful, i've been walking on it since it happened. Help, please!!

I'm 6'4, 330 lbs 31 y/o. I broke my leg, the lobe where the ACL connects on the fibia seperated, soft cast, all better, 2 months ago, that is almost healed completely. 2 weeks ago, I woke up like normal, went to the bathroom like normal, came back, sat on the bed like normal and then the pain started. I could move my limbs but I couldn't twist my back at all without pain. I couldn't get up it was so painful. I have been on vicatin & tylenol since. is this going to get better? are these incidents related? should I skip the hospital and go right to the chiropractor? what does this sound like? TIA, Dave

March 2006 my ALT was 92 and this time it's 132. I tested for hepatitis and it came out negative. I am 195 lbs 5'10-5'11 but have high BAD cholesterol (152). 26 years old. I asked if it could be a tumor or liver cancer my doctor says no it's not that serious. I do NOT drink alcohol...and don't use any medications except a few months back where i used treatment shampoo for a scalp problem. Doctor says lose weight get the cholesterol down and then recheck the blood. What could it be? If it's not hepatitis it can't be a liver tumor can it? Please help thanks

I went to the hosptial on Sat night & was told I have a sever outer ear infection in the right side showing signs of starting in the left. They gave me 3 motrin and one morphine pill to remove the pain that night & prescriptions for apo-naproxen 2x a day & Cipro HC drops 3 drops 3x a day for 3 days then down to 3drops 2x a day. I've been taking the meds but I still hurt.

I was supposed to work Sun - Thurs, I've already taken Sun & Mon off, I feel obligated financially to go into work tonight BUT I'm still in so much pain, I can't even sleep, I can't chew food because my jaw on the right is swollen, I'm wearing a hat with lil ear flaps to keep out air. My job is working graveyard shift baking at a donut shop, I go in & out of a freezer all night. My husband said if I'm in pain I shouldn't go but I am torn between financial responsibly and my health. I really don't know what to do.

I asked this question lately but didn't get any answers but one. I'm asking again....hopefully I'll get more answers this time...

Ok...I didn't bash my a** on anything but there's seriously something up. I can hardly walk let alone bend over. M y *shrink* said that I could have bruised OR broken it....should I go to my GP about this? I mean it's so painful that I can't stand it and just want to cry....the last time I did this was about 7 years ago when I fell down a staircase cuz I slipped on someone's trash bag at the top of the steps.

Do you know how much time it takes to heal if it's just brused it or also when you break it ? I know docs can't do a thing about it but geeze, this is a horrible sharp pain and I can push exactly where it hurts.

Maybe I broke something else down there but what do you think I should do? I have osteopenia which is a pre-curser to osteoporosis so my bones are weak and brittle so I could very well have broken something. Should I get an xray? help!!!

I am and always been very nocturnal..a night owl.The only times I have insomnia is when I try and force myself to sleep a 'regular' schedule..if I am to sleep on my own times (daytime)I am perfectly fine..this doesn't work for school or the regular 9-5.
