General Health Care - October 2007

I've had strep throat for 3 days now, I started on antibiotics yesterday evening. Before the anibiotics I was taking motrin and tylenol back to back to keep the fever down, but today I woke up with throbbing pain in the left side of my head...(feels like it's in my brain?!#) why this pain?

my eye is killing me and this morning it was glued shut and now i can hardly keep it open on top of the fact that is bloodshot! I already have gone to the doctor and i keep pick up the eye drops when i the pharmacy opens, but are there any at home remedies for pink-eye?

The cusion inside the matress had decrease alot ... you can feel the floor when u sleep with it ...

I'm having a great deal of trouble sleeping in the last few weeks, with the exception of last week when I stayed with my boyfriend. Now I can't fall alseep until first light, please some one give me some advice, I have been extremely ill, my body needs to rest. I need a trick to fall asleep and stay asleep.

My wife passed out in our home she was taken to the hospital and i ask the doctor to take a brain scan the doctor told me she probley pulled a muscle in her neck. She died about 6 days later with a brain aneurysm cause they would not do a brain scan. i blame the doctors for my wifes death.I don't trust any doctor

I applied for a job today and one of the forms was a consent to a drug test. It said that if any drugs were found it would keep me from being hired. I've had both morphine and codeine (Tylenol 3) recently. The morphine was at the hospital about two months ago (3 separate doses). The Tylenol 3 was doctor prescribed upon my release and was last taken a couple of weeks ago. Will these show up on a u/a and will they keep me from getting hired? Should I say something to the person at the clinic before taking the test?

And I'm not sure if I should go to the doctor. It hurts badly every once in a while, sometimes just a minor pain and sometimes not at all.

I've had it going on for a couple of weeks now. I have seasonal allergies (though the ear ache never been a problem) and I work in a preschool.

Could it be just allergies, or pressure from the atmosphere? Or, is it more serious?

what do they do? which colleges offer an ultrasound technologist program in Illinois? is an ultrasound technologist the same thing as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer? am i supposed to get a certificate? im interested in the type of job that specializes in looking at the baby in pregnant woman to see how its doing and stuff:)

My wife's neurologist no longer practices due to illness, and her practice has been sold. Any ideas as to where we can get her medical records?? I have no idea where to start.
The same holds true for an MRI she had a few years ago. She had the MRI at one of those clinics but the place is now closed. Where might I find the report??

ok so i woke up in the middle of the night with sevre pain on right side from my groin up to my ribs. Then when i got out of bed to go to school it still hurt and it seems to be starting at my groin especialy when i walk. Hello guys I really need help with my knee pain. I am 14 years old and i have been having alot of knee pain for the past couple of months. When i try to run or even walk my knee hurts really bad, and sometimes it just hurts a little. The weirdest thing is that the pain actually switches off between knees! When its not one knee its the other. Mostly everyday I wake up to go to school it hurts. I really need help because im really getting tired of this pain. When you bend your knee look at the inside side of your knee where the bone is. When i press down on it, it hurts. I hope i dont need surgery please help!

Serious replies only please. I've been smoking pot for years, but can't afford it alot of times. I love the feeling it gives me, and often helps with the aggrivations of driving in annoying traffic situations. As opposed to getting angry (road rage), I can take a couple of puffs and I drive just fine, but I can let the aggrivations just roll off. Is there anything comparable that is legal?

When I lived in Michigan, you could smell the chemicals before you could take a sip, though it was pretty clear, when you looked at it in a tall glass.

Worst I've seen and tasted was in San Franciso, when you held it up in a tall plain glass, there was all kinds of detris (particlates) floating in the water & it tasted like swimming pool water {bleh!!},...

Every time I move into a new place, I realize that I forgot to take the last water filter system I installed in my old place.
So I have to get a new filter system for my new place.

I woke up..and my ear felt funny. I was in bathroom and used my finger to stick inside my ear because it felt wet..I felt this scab and finger was all wet of blood. I then used a q-tip and the q-tip was just filled with blood. This has never happen to me before..anyone had it happen to them?

Since my second child and epidural, my back has been hurting in that area and is getting worse. It is now spreading down to my hip and up tp my ribs and nothing seems to be taking the pain away. It is not really constant but it can hit pretty hard out of no where. Can it be a nerve problem? What can fix it?
