My wife's neurologist no longer practices due to illness, and her practice has been sold. Any ideas as to where we can get her medical records?? I have no idea where to start.
The same holds true for an MRI she had a few years ago. She had the MRI at one of those clinics but the place is now closed. Where might I find the report??

Talk to the people/agency that bought the practice to find out where the records are now being held. The neurologist may have even kept the MRI images with her files, so talking to the new "owners" will be the best place to start.

First of all, you cannot get a hold of HER records. Only your wife can except in the case of if she has you listed as being able to have access. Does your wife have a primary family physician? If so, contact him/her first. Sometimes the primary doctor will have results and information of that sort. Also, when the practice(s) was/were closed... did another neurology clinic or MRI walk-in clinic take either of their places? If that did happen, sometimes the new practices will take on the old clients.
Good luck to you.

Did your wife's Neurologist sell or close his practice.

If another physician took over the practice, the medical records may still be in the office. Call the office and ask to speak with the Office Manger and perhaps she can help you locate the files.

Most physicians turn over the file to the patient, when closing a medical practice.
